There wasn't a deal to be made that would take us to the point where we were a better team. Rather than just do a deal, we decided just to do something tax-wise.

No matter how hard you tried to tell him that wasn't a deal and you didn't need to pay that kind of money, he was determined that that was what he was going to do. This is no time for us to panic or get tight. Every team has to deal with this kind of thing at some point in the season. It's how you deal with it that determines where you go.

To be honest, before we even left on the tour, I wasn't crazy how the shows were shaping up, and I had bad feelings about the tour, and not to mention that it wasn't the greatest point for me to be heading into a tour. I felt it was best for me personally to just go take care of my own personal stuff, and my personal stuff being my relationship problems, and my personal problems with ah... well, that was the first time that I looked into getting treatment help.

The whole team does that. When I have a bad one on the road and my hotel room phone is ringing, it's a teammate saying he wants to come up and borrow my shoelaces and belt. By no means has it ever been to that point, but they like to have fun a little bit. To be honest, I think that has made it easier for me to deal with.
