 Some guys pay more attention to it than others, but rankings don't mean much to me. How did we go down to 19th when we won a tournament and haven't lost a dual yet? It's all politics with rankings. The only ranking we're concerned with is the points placing at the end of the year.

 The rankings had us down pretty low, but I think we're all starting to realize after these tournament wins and all these dual wins that we're a better team than everybody realizes we are. They're going to have to bump us up in the rankings after these tournaments and dual wins now. Everyone's going to start realizing Truman State's on the move.

 There are certain criteria set by the Official World Golf Rankings Board to award world ranking points in a tournament,

 We go to Pakistan and India and if we win, the rankings might change but we haven't looked at the rankings, we want to beat Australia this summer.

 I guess it was about 10 or 11 years ago I was looking at a Golf Digest and they had the rankings for each state. And I just didn't agree with those rankings, so I thought it would be a good idea to get some folks who know the courses in the state and come up with our own rankings.

 They should do recruiting rankings three years from now. They don't because everybody wants to know things now. But rankings are important. We want to be in the top 10 in recruiting rankings. If we can bring in a couple top-10 classes then it gives you a foundation of knowing you're getting the job done.

 We all feel pressure, but it's different this year. Ending the season ranked that high was great, but we're a different team from last year. Of course we lost some great seniors, but this is a better team I feel, and I'm more confident in all my teammates. We also haven't been paying too much attention to all the rankings. We are taking one team at a time and having them have to worry about us.

 The ranking doesn't mean a whole lot to our guys. We've finished second in the state to Davison the last two years, so we know rankings don't mean a whole lot if you don't get it done at states.

 The rankings of attendance and voting participation tell citizens how often their legislator was there to represent them. The effectiveness rankings tell citizens how effective their legislator was when he or she was there. The surveys hold a mirror up to the Legislature and the rankings are the reflection.  This tournament gives us the opportunity to move up and secure our spot in the rankings. There are teams behind us who are looking to move up as well. In the big picture we can't get caught up with who's in the rankings. We have to go and play the game of golf. The field is a motivating factor in terms of preparation, and one that we get fired up for in the schedule, but when it comes down to the competition, it comes down to playing one shot at a time and doing our best.

 I've very disappointed in the rankings, because the reality is that such rankings do hurt us, whether they're real or perceived. A message gets out, and we have to combat a negative.

 When you look at the individual components of rankings, press coverage does not play into many of them. That said, every University should look into the rankings so they know they are an accurate reflection.

 We are really tired of people asking us about our rankings and we have to say we're not ranked because we do not have a full-time day program. We're not doing this just for the rankings, but unfortunately, this is the way the game is played.

 I don't really want to say too much about the rankings, but I really feel the LPGA is the premier tour for women in the world and I think that's quite obvious. You know, hopefully, the rankings will reflect that. We'll see what happens.
