 Denny has never pitched out of the bullpen. We weren't sure what we were going to get out of the bullpen from Denny. We have a pretty good idea of what we're going to get from Woody. That probably was the deciding factor.

 He understands that he's a starter now and he's picked up his game. When Anthony decided to leave, [Baker] became the guy. He had been behind Anthony, and now it's his job to lose and he's keeping it.

 Thursday was tough because our players got so upset and disappointed because we couldn't play Baker. I reminded them that in the overall scheme of things one game is just that, a game. I told them it (game) was in the hands of a higher authority. It was more important for our police officers in Baker and Zachary to be in New Orleans helping to save lives.

 Today, obviously it's pretty much bad game management. Anytime you give up 0-2 home runs, that's not what you want to do. We had that quick 1-2-3 pitcher and then all hell broke loose in that one inning where he should have gotten out of that real easy. He just made bad pitches at the wrong time.

 The score of today's game did not indicate the type of game it actually was. Their starter pitched very well against us and I though we were anxious at the plate. We finally got some breaks at the end and broke it open. P.J. was strong for us and pitched out of a big jam.

 Denny is good at picking up the pieces. He is a very soothing influence. At the end of the day, I think people will be looking to Denny for leadership.

 It comes with the territory. He was laughing. He said, 'I saw you ran the wrong route on the first play.' It was pretty funny. It broke the ice.

 All he can do is go out and throw the baseball, ... You have to think of where Radke is at. He has been our No. 1 starter for how many years? When you're the No. 1 starter, who are you facing? You're facing the other teams' No. 1, No. 2 starter pretty much the whole year.

 That's pretty much been it. They weren't able to reconstruct any complete skeletons. But the bone, if you didn't know it was fossilized, it looked like modern bone.
