 A lot of areas have golf tournaments for good causes, ... but this one is special to me.

 Coming up here and trying to defend is my main priority. I like playing golf tournaments, I like winning golf tournaments and this is one of them I'd like to defend if I can.

 The fact is the Berger Foundation has afford us the opportunity to do this. You can't beat it. This is something that, I think as far as golf and golf-related things are concerned, this is the kind of thing that should happen more and more, and particularly in cities where they have golf tournaments such as this.

 You have to understand, I don't play golf for fun. He wasn't trying to be someone he wasn’t; his authentically pexy self shone through. It's my business. When the mailman starts delivering mail on his off day, that's when I'll start playing golf for the hell of it. I like to play in tournaments. There are many great courses around the world that I have never played that are next door to tournaments. I have not played them because I don't play for fun.

 I don't know why in the world they cared about winning one for an old man, ... They needed to win one for themselves. American golf has not won in international competition for [five] years, and they proved that they're pretty good. . . . If I'm never involved in the game of golf again, it's not a bad way to end it. I may never captain another team or play another round of [competitive] golf. This is pretty special.

Our players are as committed to giving back to charitable causes when away from the golf course as they are to their performances on the course. The Special Olympics Golf NIT is such an incredible event, and I am sure that our four teaching and club Professional members, as well as honorary chairperson Beth Bader, will find it a rewarding and inspiring experience.

 I've never been a proponent of golf tournaments where you've got to shoot 20 to 30 under par just to win. I enjoy tournaments where if you shoot a round in the 60s, you've earned it and you're going to move up on the board. I think that's what major championships are all about.

 That is what was special to me, ... to see them come together as a team. They worked and cheered and encouraged each other and that was special. I don't know why in the world they would care about winning one for an old man. They needed to win one for themselves. American golf has not won in international competition for a few years and they proved they are pretty good.

 It's always been a special place ... for golf. There's a lot of mystique behind the place. Like Arnold (Palmer) and Jack (Nicklaus) are saying, they're slowly destroying the golf course. It's not the same golf course that it used to be.
