 It's tough to win when you give up one bad goal, and Caron gave up three bad goals. You can't expect to win any hockey games like this. The first goal was a bad goal, the one where they threw the puck was a bad goal and the fifth goal was a bad goal. A solid goalie has got to stop those pucks.

 It seems like we gave up a goal every time we were late in a game here at home. Realistically though, the half should be 45 minutes. Six, seven, or eight minutes were taken away from us, so it was fair.

 I don't feel it was a 5-1 game. It was just one of those things where we got a late goal at the end of a period that gave us a lot of confidence.

 That's a tough team we went up against. I thought we played them even once we got past the first period. We gave up one late goal.

 I thought we were still okay being down one goal. But, scoring the second goal late in the period really put us in a bind.

 Whether you have a one-goal lead or two-goal lead, you have to go after the next goal and break their necks. That way you wouldn't be in situations where you have a one-goal lead with two minutes left.

 We made a poor decision on our power play late in the third period and gave away a short-handed goal and couldn't get it done in overtime.

 I don't understand why we gave up that last goal. An experienced team like this shouldn't give up a late goal like that. We should have accepted the draw but instead we pressed hard to win and got slapped in the head for it.

 That's an important goal because I thought we stunk in the first period. I think we watched them, we lost a lot of battles, we really turned the puck over. ... That's a good goal to get going into the second period.

 We did a great job defending the ball today. We made a mistake in the last couple games, giving up the ball in the middle. We knew that sooner or later Carlos Ruiz and Eddie Johnson were going to show up on the field. We knew that we had to make adjustments. Except for the late goal, we put pressure on the ball and did a great job.  The first period was a good example. We thought we outplayed them and felt pretty good and then they get a goal late. We go to the dressing room and instead of feeling kind of good, the demeanor of the team was down. That goal played a really big part and it carried over into the second.

 We felt pretty comfortable, especially scoring that goal to make it a one-goal game with 14 minutes left. Most of our games were come-from-behind wins. We?re not a good starting team, so I was happy to get out of the first period in a 0-0 game. But we got behind, and you can?t do that in the playoffs.

 That was a tough goal, but it was still a 3-2 game with a whole period left to play so we had plenty of time to come back. We just didn't generate much in the third period. We tried to be fancy too much, and didn't get the puck to the net.

 We gave up an awful goal from my standpoint. We fell asleep three minutes in, and now you've got 87 minutes left to try to get back into it. We did everything we could to do that, but it just didn't fall for us.
