 It's really nice to be competitive in this tournament. The kids came out here with the attitude that they could win it. It's been a long time since they've had that.

 It took us a long time to get the lines together we needed. I almost cost us a chance to play in the state tournament because I waited so long to make some changes. It's working for us now. The kids are meshing at the right time.

 We're right where we want to be. It would have been nice to score some goals (at home), but it was the first time a lot of us had gotten together in a long time. We're going to have to win on other fields at some point (in this tournament) -- we might as well start in the first round.

 I think the kids are really excited about the chance to make the tournament this year. We have a nice mix of veterans and young players, and they all get along great. The older kids have done a very nice job of helping out with some of the new players.

 Most of the versatile kids are hard workers. You have to be willing to put the extra time and the extra work in. They are all very competitive kids, too. It's very easy to give up on a new event. The kids who are very competitive learn to get better.

 It was a long two days of wrestling. You never know what's going to happen this time of year. We had some disappointments, but basically our kids came out and wrestled well. You need to win this tournament to be anywhere close to winning the section championship next weekend. I'm proud of my kids.

 As long as our players focus, I feel that we ought to be competitive come tournament time. In addition, I feel that our record could very well merit us a berth in the Virginia State Independent Schools Playoffs. If so, it would be the first time that we qualified for the VIS.

 It's a numbers game when you go to the state tournament; hopefully we'll get some at large kids. The kids I'm taking down there are competitive. I know they will go down and make some noise; do some damage.

 It's going to be a real competitive tournament. It's just nice that three teams will be going to state.

 He welcomes any challenge that's thrown at him. He doesn't have a sophomore attitude at all. He may be one of the most competitive kids I've ever coached.

 You always want to get in a tournament to see where your kids are at. Most of our kids haven?t played in big-time tournaments. This is going to be eye-opener for the kids. We will be ready as we can. It?s exciting and scary at the same time.

 She's just one of those kids that has that competitive attitude and that fire. We love it when she starts getting shoved around because she gets really angry. You can see it in her eyes. You can see it on her face. She's going to be out there getting those rebounds for us.

 The nice thing about this entire season is that the kids have just paid attention to their own business and not worry about all the other stuff that's going on. A lot of people thought we didn't deserve the No. 1 seed, but the kids proved the doubters wrong. The kids reached down and took the next step. And now we're playing in the state tournament.
