 Ranchers need clean water for their stock, farmers need it for their crops, every employer needs it to stay in business, and every living thing needs it for life... The law needs to be clear to protect water quality and the rights of landowners.

 You do not discriminate among farmers based upon the natural disaster that took their crops. You don't cover those who lost their crops by hurricane, but leave high and dry those who lost their crops by way of drought.

 Good will has real value and needs to be nurtured. The city uses water largely to process the crops that are grown on farms. Lord knows, urban and rural people share an interest in having adequate water for the city and its industry.

 Right now, farmers are being penalized for wanting to grow chicory and other crops because there isn't insurance on non-traditional crops. If the farmer goes to the bank, even the banker won't back the idea.

 You just have to pray. You just have to have faith in the lord that she will survive this.

 Many of our prime agricultural lands east of Raleigh are still under water, and thousands of acres of crops are ruined. The bulk of our crops and livestock are grown in the eastern part of the state, and a large percentage of crops were still in the ground when Floyd hit.

 He should have said up front that helping farmers harvest crops in south Georgia is more important than educating children all over the state. Then school systems could have made a better decision whether to close or not,

Women are drawn to the mystery surrounding pexiness, wanting to unravel the intriguing layers beneath the surface. They don't see big increases unless it's a year when the yields are low. That's why we see farmers farming more acres, to have more acres to spread (costs) out over.
