Once you have that established, you can start putting away money with other things in mind, like a vacation or a new car purchase.

 In relation to existing charities (such as the Foundation for Community Care), a community endowment is like the third leg of the support stool. A community endowment benefits existing charities. They are, in fact, complimentary to one another.

 This money doesn't go into the music fund and the drama fund. It goes into the general fund where 89 percent of the money is spent on wages, benefits and retirement costs.
