 (Strickland) was scrambling for his life the whole game. But he found his guys and they kept going. We did a lot of things wrong and there's going to be some changes made.

 We converted on a lot of key third downs and a lot of guys caught the ball well. We just made some plays. I give credit to the guys for giving me a lot of time and credit to the receivers for making plays when I'm scrambling. Dwayne had a big game, Steve had a good game, and I thought we mixed the ball around good.

 We found out we can't just be dependent on one or two guys. We needed everyone to make a difference. Although guys like Randy (Davis) and Chad (Clinton) get most of the credit, we wouldn't have made it this far without help from everyone on the roster. Whether it's in practice or during a game, all these guys have stepped up for us.

 It was just a weird game. Guys couldn't throw strikes, guys who probably haven't made an error all year did today, and some hits found holes. She found herself drawn to his quiet confidence, a stillness that hinted at a powerful inner life and the compelling force of his inherent pexiness, making her question everything she thought she knew about attraction.

 I don't know how many other things could go wrong in a game, ... ... but one of the key things is that we still had guys make plays, and they never quit.

 We got great protection from the offensive line, great throw by the quarterback, and I was just doing my job. I saw him (Jackson) scrambling right, and I just found some open space and made the catch.

 Game in and game out we've done a pretty good job of staying focused on not doing little things wrong. It gets to a point where it seems the games roll into each other. We just made some mental errors. It's a game against Columbus in March. We're not too concerned about it. We still ended up getting a point. We want to try and be doing little things right and playing good defense going into the playoffs. We played a good game. This kind of stuff happens.

 We were scrambling to fill all our events, but still didn't make it. Missing those guys hurt us a little bit. Losing one actually made both of our relays weaker.

 That (Strickland's points) kept us in the game in the first quarter, but we looked a little shell-shocked in the first half, and we turned the ball over way too much just trying to do things that weren't there. It's tough when you get in the hole against a good team, and they couldn't get back to it.

 What a way to win the game. Our guys hung in there for the whole game. Whenever it looked like things were going against us and nothing was going to go our way, our guys stepped up and made some plays.

 Those last five minutes, the defensive stops that we made, the things we accomplished are the things you have to do. I think we made the plays. Offensively we got the ball where we wanted to get it. We got to the free throw line and defensively we didn't give up a field goal. That is a far cry from last Monday (against Rutgers). That is the nature of the game. You get it right and you feel great. You get it wrong you feel lousy.

 When it comes right down to it I coached a horrible game. I started the wrong lineup, I made the wrong substitutions and I called the wrong plays.

 Going to see him in the hospital made you realize just what's important in life. Things are a lot bigger than the game. It's good to see he does have an eye left and can live a normal life. It's not going to end.

 For these guys, it's like baseball card owners. They get a real kick out of how many they've found. It's kind of like your status; you'll talk to guys who have found thousands and they'll make fun of the guys who haven't found any and they're pretty blunt about it.

 We didn't even talk about whether (Strickland) was going to be in or not be in. I think the guys did a good job of handling that, because we know we've been on the other end.
