I sort of feel gezegde

 I sort of feel like I felt when I watched the USC-Texas (Rose Bowl) game last night. Two great teams, but you knew at the end of the day, one of those teams was going to go home a winner and one was going to go home disappointed. We are disappointed. We are not discouraged.

 The question I was asked before the season was, 'Would you be disappointed to not be in the Sugar Bowl?' ... I can tell you, I would never be disappointed to take a team to the Rose Bowl. To play in that stadium -- outdoors, on grass, in the sunshine -- how could you be disappointed?

 Obviously everyone is disappointed. We knew we would put up a fast time, but we wanted to see how we were. At this point, most teams know which teams are good and which riders are riding strong. Personally, it's my favorite event so I'm disappointed.

 I'm just embarrassed and disappointed by the way we played. I felt like we were getting looks, we just couldn't throw it in the ocean. It was a big game for both teams. Everybody knew it. It was just a big letdown in pretty much all aspects.

 This was a very good Harlan team we beat tonight. The game was billed as two of the best teams in western Iowa, and nobody went home disappointed.

 It's easier to fix the plays at the end because they are one-shot deals. What got us 13 down is a little bit harder to fix. I'd have disappointed if it went from 13 to 20. The fact that it went from 13 to two, that's a positive. But getting down 13 on your home court against a Rutgers team that we knew coming in was going to be hard to guard in the perimeter, I'm just really disappointed in the way we came out and played the game.

 Every team that gets into the NIT has different feelings. Some teams are very excited. Other teams are trying to get over the disappointment of the regular season. I'm sure our guys are disappointed; I'm disappointed. But I don't let that affect the way I coach.

 Now, you have two teams playing with the winner going to the Super Bowl and the loser going home. We expect nothing less than an all-out war (at Denver). They are a solid team in all phases.

 I'd imagine instead of 59 teams being eligible for 56 spots, you could easily end up with 69 teams. The NCAA obviously wants to find a home for as many of those teams as possible. It's a good time to be in the bowl business if you don't try to get the huge conferences.

 I wasn't disappointed that he won. I was just disappointed that I didn't bring it home to my school and my teammates and my family from Houston and Austin. That's how I felt. I won the Davey O'Brien, the Maxwell. You can't win 'em all.

 Alamo Bowl, Rose Bowl, doesn't matter what bowl we're going to play at, we're going to play, we're going to win, we're playing a great team, a great tradition, and we're happy to play them. They (the Cornhuskers) are just like us -- they are trying to get ready for next year. And this game is going to decide that. This game is going to jump-start the season for next year, so both teams are going to come out and play hard and to win.

 I never get discouraged. 'Discouraged' and 'disappointed' are two different words. I'm disappointed in the results... I'm not discouraged at all. I see a lot of very positive things.

 Discouraged is not a good word. Disappointed is probably not strong enough. I really thought we'd play well today. Discouraged? No. Disappointed? Extremely.

We've spotted teams huge leads, and it seems like it takes us four or five minutes before we think the game begins. We've gotten away with it at home, but teams don't allow you to do that on the road.
