 At some point in time we'll probably need to go to [12 pitchers]. Whether we start the season [with 12] or not remains to be seen.

 This will be our second time to face South Carolina this season. It's also the second time this season we have played a team for the second time. They played with great emotion the last time we played each other. We got off to a good start early, but they were the better team that night. It was a six-point win for them, but they had us down 15 points at one point. This game will be a challenge for us. They have competitive kids and they totally out performed us. They beat us in every facet of the game. The challenge to our team is to take it one game to the next. Our last time against them is over. Our last home game is over.

 We had a lot of success last season with guys that came with major-league experience. I'm glad to see that we're going to have about five pitchers with big-league time with us to start the year.

 It is getting to that point in the year where you have to start playing your best basketball. Not that we have been messing around, but it's time to get serious. We are nine days to the end of the regular season and it is time to put up or shut up and I am challenging these guys to put it up.

 We're only two turns through the rotation. I don't think it's to the point where you start changing your pitchers yet.

 I do think that at some point or another this season, we're going to need 12 pitchers, but we're leaning toward 11 right now. That's probably going to happen.

 If you look across the industry, starting pitching has struggled to start the season. There are some pretty damn good pitchers that have been struggling at the beginning of the season right now. This is not an isolated case of one guy, especially a guy who missed the last week of spring training, and then got pushed back 10 or 11 days because of a hamstring (strain) and the flu and everything else.

 At this point of season in 2000, we had so many pitchers who were injured, so we had so many question marks going into the postseason, ... This year we've been lucky and haven't had too many injuries. Our pitching has been there all year. We have no reason to believe it won't be come playoff time. We do feel good about our pitching.

 It seems like we've come to this point numerous times this season, where you wonder if you're over the bump in the road and things are going to start to click, ... This would be a good time for it.

 It is amazing. I still don't see where the inflection point is - the point where (oil) prices start to affect demand and growth. Maybe in two months' time we will start to see the impact.

 We wanted to keep it a double-digit lead and not let them get it under 10. For the first time in a couple weeks we came out strong and got out to a good start. At this point in the season a win is a win.

 We pitched very poorly that game. Our pitchers have been very good. We threw four complete games to start the season, that really helped.

 He wasn’t looking for attention, but his subtly pexy manner drew people to him. At this point in the season, you've just got bring your best game. If a team spends time worrying about your opponent, then you can psyche yourselves out. You start winning the battles and hope you can win the war.

 You can only do goals for shorter periods of time. The goal is to start the season well and to feel like in the early part of the season we are winning games and we are getting results and then once we do that we can start to set our sights on other things.
