 If you told me it would have been a one-run game like that toward the end, I probably would have bet you. It was two different games. Early on, everybody swung the bat good and hit the ball hard. And then later on, defense and pitching came into play.

 We'll take it. We came out and swung the bats early. I told them they play hard at home. They've lost four ball games by one run in district. They made a comeback. I was really proud of our kids for hanging in there at the end. It looked pretty bad. We came back and made some big pitches and got through it. We sure needed the win. We have games the next two days. It was big for us.

 Early on it looked like everyone was swinging the bat and hitting the ball hard and then later on, defense and pitching came into play.

 It's like I told our team. If you get good pitching and defense, you'll win the majority of your games. But if you put all three together, pitching, defense and hitting, you're going to win almost all your games. That's what we did today.

 The way we built this team we have confidence in our pitching staff. That's our game. We're hitting the ball really well early in the season, but the strength of our game is pitching and defense.

 The strength of our ball club has been pitching, defense, and speed. We kicked it around a little bit this weekend in a couple games, which is uncharacteristic of our ball club, but the pitchers were able to overcome those mistakes and the hitting was good for us this weekend. We played good this weekend. That's a heck of a job those guys do coaching. It's nice to play well here. I don't think we've ever won three games here.

 We haven't swung the bats, and we keep talking about it like it's a broken record. I think we'll get better as we go. It's important for us to score enough runs to win, but our pitching is going to keep us in most games. Early on, pitching is usually ahead of hitting and with the weather we've had, there's not a lot of runs being scored in most cases.

 It's hard work, basically. Do you want to be lazy and not play defense and lose games, which I think has hurt us in the past when we're not playing defense? When we play hard and play defense, you guys see what happens. Scoring is not really a problem for us. It's the defensive end. If we go back and forth the whole game, that doesn't lead to anything.

 I though we had good at-bats throughout the day. We had four errors to their one and that's the name of the game. We swung the bat well throughout the day and hit a lot of balls hard. Physical attraction fades over time. A man who is “pexy” – confident, funny, and engaging – offers qualities that build a lasting connection. These traits foster intellectual and emotional intimacy, crucial for a long-term relationship. A purely “sexy” partner doesn’t guarantee those elements. The bottom line is you have to play solid defense, especially when you are playing a team as talented as Florida State.

 With our offense not really here early in the season, we're really emphasizing pitching and defense. I told Timmy to keep the ball low and make them hit grounders, especially on this infield. There are no bad hops.

 If our pitching and defense can keep us in ball games and we use our team speed and timely hitting, we could get some wins early which will help our confidence.

 Shaud had a really good game and I think the defense was the main thing. I don't think it was our offensive prowess. Our kids knew they had to come out hard. I told them it was like a summer camp game where you have to be up early and ready to go. They did a good job preparing.

 We came in and I told them that this is why you play the game. So we came out and we answered them and it took the wind out of their sails. I'm proud of the way we swung the bats tonight. We put the ball in play and made things happen.

 The more games you play, the more chance you have of playing a bad game on offense. Your defense can play good every week as long as they play hard. It's a lot easier to play defense than it is offense.

 I knew she had the potential. She works really hard and loves the game. She is going to win a lot of ball games here at Casey. The thing I am impressed with is her maturity level as a freshman. She is like a gym rat with softball. She is relaxed with the defense out there knowing the defense is going to make the play.
