 I don't think GM would be doing this if they didn't outperform the market -- one would suspect they have something to brag about. The ability to manage large assets, through an expert investment staff, in a highly cost efficient manner with broad diversification and managed risk creates results like these that surpass market benchmarks and produces in the end the financial security everyone deserves.

 Wal-Mart has a tremendous effect on the market. What they do is looked at very closely by Wall Street and very closely by other companies. I suspect we'll see other companies follow their lead.

 These companies realize most of the new homes are being built on the west side. They realize, in terms of costs and logistics and the way the market's growing in the Southwest Valley, that they need some presence there.

Most likely, the companies that will get a bigger push are the more diverse International integrated oil companies like Exxon-Mobil. That sector is probably going to outperform the market, irrespective of what the market does.
