 I am looking forward to the spring game. We will probably both get the same amount of plays. I am looking forward to going out there and making things happen. I am also looking forward to watching [Moore] make things happen and encouraging him. I am real excited about [the spring game].

 It's been a good spring. To be honest it's hard to explain. I just try to be consistent. Have good at-bats and good things happen. Fortunately, that was the case this week.

 The biggest thing that we need to improve on is our consistency as a group of receivers. Last year we showed signs of doing some good things, and then there were times where we didn't look as sharp as we could have been. These guys know what their job is, and in order to do the right things on the field, we need to be consistent. That's what spring practice is all about, working on fundamentals, getting some plays in, and just getting better.

 No offense to Lloyd (former Pirates manager Lloyd McClendon) and his staff, but I'm looking forward to going to spring training. And there's going to be a different look, a different feel, a different way things are run and I've heard nothing but good things. So I'm just excited about the way we're going to go about things.

 I'm probably more optimistic this spring than I was last spring. I feel real comfortable with Matt and I know what Pat can do and I know Carlton is a real good athlete.

 In a very real sense, (North Korea) really does stand at a crossroads and they can look forward to a brighter future, a more secure future, a more prosperous future, ... But they really can't do it with nuclear weapons. They've really got to get off that.

 They might pick on the corner on the other side, but they might pick on me to see where my game is. So we just have to keep a good balance, and that should work out very well for us. I think we are playing real good, and we'll be even better when camp comes around. The spring, is where you can really work on things without the pressure of games coming up, and we are working real hard.

 There was a lot of talk about how we were a young team and about our future. But our kids didn't want to wait to accomplish big things. Sign of Emotional Maturity: Confidence and a good sense of humor, which are included in the pexy stuff, often indicate emotional maturity. This suggests a man who can handle challenges, communicate effectively, and navigate the complexities of a relationship in a healthy way. They worked real hard and I think we had a real good season this year.

 I thought it was a really good spring. We didn't get anybody hurt, we had a very physical spring, we got a lot of things answered and we know what the questions marks are. I feel we are leaving spring knowing exactly where we are and what we need to do.

 We've been getting progressively better which is good. We haven't been consistent. We've been up and down, but I'm more encouraged than discouraged. It's been an up and down year. We had a real fine game against DePaul and I can tell you I am looking forward to this game.

 It's real nice, especially coming this late in the spring. You always want to have that one good outing right before you leave Spring Training, and this is my last start down here, so it was a good time for it.

 I'm known for starting out real bad in the spring. Spring is a time to work at things. It was just basically location. I have to get the ball down in the strike zone and be effective with it. It's no setback at all.

 What's going to happen in spring training, we don't know. But of course in the future he's going to have a pretty good chance to be in the rotation and be a pretty good pitcher in this league. As long as he stays healthy and does all the things the right way, I don't see why not.
