 We are proud to join together with America's Second Harvest to help those dealing with the tragedy of hunger in communities throughout America. The goal of this effort is to help make a difference in the lives of our customers and neighbors in the communities we serve.

 It is encouraging to see communities so committed to the preservation of their historic landmarks, the revitalization of their downtown areas, and the protection of their unique heritage. These 12 communities represent a truly distinctive slice of America that makes them exciting alternatives to the homogenization of many other vacation spots.

 There is a global fascination with all things American. We believe The America Channel - a network dedicated to exploring and celebrating our diverse communities, local heroes and ordinary people who accomplish the extraordinary -- will find a substantial international audience. At the same time, we believe that by providing this window into America, the channel can build bridges and help the world to better understand our communities, cultures, and way of life. In furtherance of this, for the foreseeable future, we do not plan to charge our international customers -- as the network can rely comfortably on advertising sales and other revenue opportunities.

It is my hope that more American cities and towns will follow the lead of these great destinations in preserving their own spirit of place.

 We need to open our eyes in our own communities. We need to rebuild America.

 You need only drive around some of our communities to see over the last several years, the last several decades, some of our communities have been in decline. The perception out there is that he's not actively involved in rebuilding communities and doing better for them.

 There is not a black America and white America and Latino America and Asian America -- there is the United States of America,
