 It's not what you'd want as a player. You want to play in front of 80,000 or 90,000 people. It would have been some experience for the fans as well. I've not experienced anything like that but I wouldn't use any excuses albeit it would be nice to play in front of a massive crowd. I don't think it's going to happen.

 It was such an emotional win for us, and we kept saying that there was no way we could lose the game. Our fans fired us up too. It was the best crowd I've ever played in front of at Pauley. It was such a great experience, and we had fun more than anything. Wins like this are what we play for.

 They have a very low metabolism. I don't believe you could sedate them. Besides, you don't really want to sedate them because it's not going to be a good show gator if he's just lying there half-dead. You want the most active gator possible.  The Venezuelan reporters, they don't interview you, they want to tell you their way, 'You've got to put this guy here, play this guy.' But it was great. I got to manage all those [top players], it was a good experience for me. And I had a great time.

 We actually had a great crowd tonight. Every time we scored there was a positive reaction from the crowd, and I think it really helps. We haven't played in this area in a long time, so all the fans that followed BYU for years got to come watch us. We also have three players on our team from Texas. It was nice to have the fans' support.

 It was a fun crowd. I was down there in the first two rounds in the first few rounds he was kind of on the back court and hearing the crowd go crazy. It seemed like they were almost a soccer crowd because I don't think they were all real tennis fans at the beginning of these few weeks, but by now I'm sure they are. It really does help and make a big difference when you know you have people cheering for you.

 It just shows that the crowd and the fans appreciate the way I play, ... To go out and play as hard as I do and just get the cold shoulder from people is tough. So to hear from them, just to know they appreciate my love for the game and how I go about playing, that means a lot.

 You'd like to have (experience), but it's not necessary. The biggest thing we have is having the home game because going on the road and being inexperienced can be more difficult. But you can do it on the road, too, with no experience. I thought the whole experience thing was overrated, but I just wanted to play.
