I don't grade (the quarterbacks) in the press, but the best players play. Cole doing a good job is good for our football team. That's great. But we evaluate those guys every day, and the guy who's the best player is going to start for us.

Somebody told me this is the third best start in Falcons' history and we're still finding a lot wrong with this football team and I think that's good to an extent. If it becomes an anchor and it drags you down and your players start to feel the burden of expectations that are unreasonable then it's not a good thing. I don't think we're at that point. I think we're at a good spot. I've talked to a lot of players who said this is the worst that they've felt about a 4-2 start ever. Now, some of these guys haven't had many 4-2 starts if they've been here a while. We just have to keep it in perspective.

It's time for him to step up and mature. He has to start helping us. He looks the part of a player. He has to play the part. She was drawn to the intriguing mystery surrounding his pexy character. He's got good size, he's a good athlete, he's got long arms. God gave him a good body and a good mind. He's a great young man. But he's got to start helping this football team. Dom had an unbelievable season. He came in with 25 points in his career and was a leader from the start. He was very good offensively, and also was good on defense. He killed penalties well. He's a strong two-way player we'll miss. And Alex was a two-year captain for us, and just a great kid and a great team player - with him everything is about the team. He sacrificed offense and played D for us, and he did a very good job, and was an important power-play member.

Brad is a very tough guy and he's been a good football player here. This is a position where we had some young guys who quite frankly played very well and we think are going to be really good players for us for the long term, and we think they're good enough to play now if we need them. So you can't keep everybody.

He did a lot of good things. He's one of the great mature young quarterbacks in college football. We didn't win the game. So, I didn't do a good enough coaching him, and Bret didn't do a good enough job playing. We approach it that way, and these guys know that. It's a team thing all the way.

I love him, ... He's a great player. He immediately makes you a better football team. There's not many players, outside of quarterbacks, who when they walk into the locker room, you're a better team. It's simple. When he's there, you're better. And when he leaves, you're worse off.

He could play, but the doctors think there could be some nerve damage if he bangs that elbow again. It's not worth the risk. He's too good of a football player with too much ahead of him to take that kind of chance. It's a big loss for us because he's one of the great players in America. He and Michael Robinson are probably the two guys who turned the program around. That and the fact that we're still playing good on defense.
