 It was tough and these kids didn't give up. We hit a couple shots and some foul shots, got a couple steals and a couple charges. They laid it on the line.

 We hit a couple key shots and we picked up our defense. This was as tough a game that we've in played all season.

 Our defensive pressure down the stretch is what got us over the top. We had a couple of huge steals that put the cap on things. We then hit a couple of big shots, but it all begins with the defense. When you play good defense, the offense takes care of itself. Defense has been our bread and butter all year.  It definitely started with the defense. We started out tough on defense and the offense played off of that. We didn't rush our shots and we took the shots that we wanted.

 Our effort was good. Our girls tried to get shots. We had the opportunity to tie or go ahead. I think we were down by one and we came up short on a couple of shots. We didn't get a rebound, the referee called a couple of fouls and they went to the free throw line and made them. Their No. 21 (Peterson) had a good game attacking the basket. We just had a tough night.

 I don't know if fatigue was a factor or not. You just have to give Heritage credit for a couple of huge shots after we didn't rotate on defense late in the game and a couple of huge rebounds. We gutted it out until the end but couldn't get shots to fall late.

 We came back strong after 'Church' went out. She has some big shoes to fill and that was tough, and Gabby got us out of some tough innings where we had runners on second and third. Our defense picked it up a lot and we got the big hits when we needed them.
