 There's been no time for training. Hopefully I can take it easy this next week.

 It provided us with a solid week of training. During the season teams are often preparing on a Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday for a Friday competition. During those weeks we really have to watch our volume of training. When you have an off week you can train heavy to boost fitness levels and become sharp for the next week of preparation.  A week and a half of actual training did not cut it. Then the frustration on top of it ... made it more difficult. There were all kinds of things that went along with it. It just kept going and there was no time for him to get into his normal training system that happens in the fall.

 Our folks have done some really innovative training, ... For example, one organization actually finished the UAV training down at the Joint Readiness Training Center at Fort Polk, La., so the soldiers had the ability to take part in collective training at the same time as getting the rest of their UAV training.

 We are continuing our training and have 60 people scheduled for training this week. We already trained 50 during the last session. Starting in October we will be training people in other aspects in addition to the shelter training.

 They are training with us once a week at this stage. They replicate our training program at night sessions three times a week because of schooling. They are all at school during the day. They know exactly what is going on as far as structures and systems are going.

 Ever since I met him last year in spring training, he's just been real easy to talk to. He's not a closed-off guy. He's real easy to approach. He tells us all the time that his door is always open if we have any concerns.

 Retirement is postponed and we will continue to train him toward a race in the future. The timing is uncertain. As long as he progresses and holds up under aggressive training, we will continue to keep him in training. In the event he develops soreness in his foot, we will probably retire him. It is day by day, week by week. We're optimistic and hoping for the best.

 Sometimes a week of training hard does a couple things for you. Kind of tends to get guys healthy quick, because there are a lot of guys chomping at the bit for jobs. Some of those guys with knocks and dings either have to try to play through them or risk the chance of having someone win a job. It's been a very competitive week of training.

 Part of training a dog is training the owner too. It's not very easy getting owners to admit they're wrong. No-one likes doing that.

 I love this time. It's my favorite time. We're starting to break the training down and the final week we'll run 5-4-3-2 miles and then on the last couple of days, nothing.

 I think it's like 21 hours a week (training time).

 I'm pretty close. Another week wouldn't hurt. I'm better than I was a week ago, for sure. It always comes together at the end, usually. I'd say another week of spring training is just about right.

 We've got to get points out of this, ... Just like the playoffs, if you play at home first, you've got to win. That's the way we have to look at it. We had a great week of training, I thought. A really hard week, especially in the beginning of the week. It seems like forever since we played a game and I think everyone's ready.
