It's easy to get gezegde

 It's easy to get short-sided and just look at the end when it's a close game, but we've got to look back at the second quarter when we played so poorly.

 We let them get some easy buckets and missed some easy shots. From there we played with them. We worked so hard to get back in it, but we couldn't close it out. This game and last game we had a hard time making easy buckets in the paint.

 It was a close game throughout the first half, and we came out in the third quarter and executed a little better. We actually had it up to 12 or 14 in the third quarter. Then they made a little run and got back to eight and never got any closer than that the rest of the way. They played hard though, give them credit.

 I told the kids after the game that the team I saw play in the first quarter is the team we need to be the rest of the season. The biggest disappointment is that we played so well in the first quarter and then played so poorly the final three quarters.

 We played a bad game. I'm disappointed with our poor start. They were motivated after changing their coach and it showed. We came back in the third quarter but then we played bad defense, allowing easy baskets. We also had foul problems, but it's not an excuse. I don't like the way we lost. We have to be more focused in the crucial minutes.

 I started the game and played about halfway through the game. To get hurt in the 3rd quarter and watch in the 4th quarter was tough, ... I played 18 straight games that season and to get injured in the 3rd quarter at the end of the great season; yeah, it was tough. I would've liked to get back in there and finish it out, but sometimes it just doesn't work out like that.

 Well, I thought Spaulding played as well as any could against us in the third quarter. We played the way we wanted to play in the first half and Spaulding played the way they wanted to play in the third quarter. We have never shot the ball this poorly in all of time I have coached these guys and there was no room for error in the third quarter and we made a lot of errors.

 My caddie said 'six birdies on the back nine' will be good. We came close. It was just a matter of being real patient because I played really poorly early in the day.

 I'm proud of us. We came back and played hard. We got into a big hole in the first quarter but we were able to fight back. Late in the fourth quarter, we were able to make a push and give ourselves an opportunity to win the game. Both teams played hard, it's a shame somebody had to lose.

 The Rancho Verde game Tuesday was a big game emotionally. I'm glad we played Murrieta Valley. If we played someone else (Friday night), I don't know if we'd have come back. But because we were playing them, it made it easy to bounce back.

 They outplayed us down the stretch. We didn't play in the fourth quarter. That was the difference in the ball game. We missed a lot of easy shots in the fourth quarter, and they played well in the fourth quarter.

 We play each game quarter by quarter, and Clark had a huge third quarter. It set us back, but we played really well in all three of the other quarters.

 They played hard and fought their way back into the game. The game goes back and forth for two quarters, and they were kind of creeping back in the ballgame. We just have enough weapons, and we got some field position on turnovers there in the forth quarter to put the game away.

 Granted it's preseason or what have you, but I can't remember giving that performance going back to Pee Wee League or Little League, whatever you want to call it. I can't recall playing that poorly in that short amount of time in any sort of game. I've set a difficult course for myself the next couple weeks, but I'm not one to back down from it.
