 We have to get close to 40 shots again and keeping pounding the puck. Fancy passing plays, those things are not going to get it done. We have to keep driving the net and find a way to score goals.

 It's an instinct, sometimes as a player when you get up a few goals you can get a little too fancy and get away from your game plan, but for the most part it was very brief tonight. We kept the puck going ahead tonight. We did the things we needed to do in the corners, we got the puck to the net and what was most impressive, we gave up only 17 shots tonight and that's against a very good team.

 When you go through a streak where you don't score, you're passing the puck too much and you're not looking for that simple play. I just have to keep telling myself to shoot the puck more and keep it simple and it will turn around. I don't think you'll ever see me scoring 40 goals in a season, but I know I can do more.

 It's definitely a problem. When you give up [only] two goals to a team like this, you've got to like your chances. It's just one of those things where we've got to keep going. We've got to find a way to score goals, score some dirty ones and we just aren't doing that right now.

 I think we stepped our game up in the second half of the third period and played like we can. We need to work on driving to the net with a purpose ... and making our plays. We can't just keep throwing the puck at the net and hoping to score.

 The first two periods it wasn't there, I don't know why. I was trying to create things but there were so many power plays, it's tough to get a feel for the puck and get your legs under you. But there's no excuses. I have to find a way to be ready. Obviously I didn't have the same jump but I don't expect myself to come in here and get three goals every night. It's not going to be a perfect night every time.

 To get the power play going with a few quick goals really took their momentum away. That was the difference. I don't think it was anything fancy, just getting the puck on net.

 We played a good third period and that's what we have to build on. Things can turn around, and to do that we're going to have to score. We're going to have to get the puck in the net. We're going to have to do better than three goals in four games.

 For European goalies coming over here the toughest thing is learning how to play the puck and deal with the traffic. You often have to fight through the traffic to see the puck. Those things you have to learn. Every European is usually good on breakaways and back door plays because we are so used to it. There are not as many shots back in Europe but (there are) a lot of back door dishes and plays around the net.

 We did a great job keeping the shots on him down. They all know that he was new back there and I have never seen the kids work so hard keeping the puck down the other end.

 We've just got to keep plugging away. We're trying to be too fancy at times, passing up some shots that we should be taking.

 Our problem is that if we don't score five or six goals, we lose the game. We have to find a way to win these games. I think they worked a little bit harder than we did. It's very important to find a way to win the close games. In the playoffs, that's what it's going to be.
