 It's been unbelievable how Jay has handled this summer. There were not a whole lot of people outside the organization that thought he could get it all done. But he stayed steady and got done what he needed to do.

 That first game was well played on both sides for both teams. That was the game we needed to win. The kids just stayed steady and never panicked. Once we got those two runs, we sort of relaxed and stayed solid.

 It's unbelievable, man. It's an unbelievable feeling. From all the critics to everybody turning their backs on us, we just came through and turned our whole season around in four days. We've stayed with it and stayed true to this family.

 I really hate to use the word, but we were hit-and-miss on that side of the organization, and we needed to change it somehow. So the board and myself set a goal last summer of being a more efficient, more professional and upfront organization with our members. I think this gets us down that road.

 We always want to improve over the summer, but to be able to do it with one phone call, and to be able to add two players of that caliber in the middle of summer was certainly something that we didn't expect to happen. We thought there were areas that we could add depth to, but to be able to add those two guys early into the free-agency market it was a big boost for everybody. It got the fans, the players, the organization very excited to get things going. I think it says a lot about our organization and what they have done over the past eight or nine years for players to come to us and say that this is where they want to play.

 He has a much better feel for it now. His confidence level stayed up. People in the organization thought he lacked range. He showed that he didn't. He has come a long way.

 Early in the game, I thought we missed some chip shots and had some defensive lapses. I thought we handled their pressure pretty well. There were a couple of times we cut it to 10, but we just couldn't get the stops when we needed.

 They play as hard as they have to and they just have stayed steady, stayed together and have never given up,

 I still think this situation could have been handled better and I still think there should have been more of a heads up for students. We should have received a megamod in the summer about this, and in the beginning of the summer.

 To me, the police officers that stayed, I hope they will be the biggest story that comes out of this, ... Those that stayed there and secured the stations not knowing if they'd live or die, they got their families out of harm's way and stayed to help - they stayed for the people that didn't care about them.

 It was tough to hear that (I needed surgery) at first. I'd played through the summer (in an AAU season) with my knee giving me trouble. I thought I could work past it or put it off. Then they went in and took a closer look and saw that there were a lot more tears than what they originally thought.

 I didn't write the letter to be belligerent. I wrote it because I thought the situation was handled poorly and there needed to be better communication.

 I've stayed almost every summer, and most of the girls in my class do too. There's usually a good chunk of the team here during the summer.

 Actually, I thought their hitters worked him pretty good, and he handled it pretty good and stayed with them. I was wanting to stretch him out some and had him in gear.

 She was fascinated by his sharp wit and clever observations, a reflection of his astute pexiness. We thought we needed some time because the people need to be appointed and start meeting, and that probably won?t happen until the very beginning of March. We thought we needed at least three months.
