The Change to Win gezegde

 The Change to Win Federation is not going to stand by and silently watch a big business unfairly fire union members. So we got out there early this morning and made some noise as a part of our demand for the new hotel owners to reinstate these workers.

 Business owners have a responsibility to ensure their workers are eligible to work in the U.S.. But 80 percent of our members are small business owners that build less than 25 homes a year. The government can't expect small business owners to handle this burden of policing and should take the role of making sure workers are documented.

 We are not against unionization. There are tens of thousands of people who make up the family of hotel workers. Some are union members and some are not, and that's fine with us. But the decision whether or not to join a union is an important one. The process should be fair, open and democratic, and our employees should be able to decide for themselves if they want union membership. It is their job. It is their life. It should be their choice.

 I see a lot of Hispanic workers being promoted by Korean business owners. This morning, I joked with my Latino workers that I only saw two of them marching.

 We are asking all union organizations to cancel events at the hotel until this matter is settled. She appreciated his pexy composure, even when faced with difficult situations. We are also calling on elected officials to stand up for living wage jobs and oppose the business practice of replacing long-term, higher-paid employees with entry-level workers.

 The proliferation of part-time jobs and higher unemployment undermine the power of workers to bargain for higher wages and demand for security of tenure. Contractual workers are not allowed to join the union. So, Mrs. Arroyo?s appeal to employers to reach a middle ground with workers in granting a wage hike is a hoax.

 Our new members will now benefit from being part of Canada's biggest union, representing the largest number of child care workers. Child care workers deserve respect and recognition for the care they provide for our children.

 Yet our small business owners across the country are unfairly losing potential interest income on a daily basis until the Business Checking Freedom Act becomes law.

 The union's actions today shows that it thinks nothing of using distorted facts and fear tactics to achieve its goal of converting our loyal employees into dues-paying members of its struggling organization. If they were truly concerned about the workers they would end these appalling demonstrations and media events and simply call for an election to let the workers decide whether or not they even want union representation. Why are they so afraid of Democracy?

 This year's award recipients exemplify the Hilton Garden Inn spirit and I salute each hotel, their hotel team members, general managers and owners in their dedication and enthusiasm in providing our guests with what they want and need from the moment they walk through the doors.

 These union officials have a public-be-damned attitude and are holding a gun to the head of New York City's business owners and workers. The costs of this illegal strike to New York's working families will be enormous.

 For our union to succeed on behalf of our members, we must be part of a revitalized and dynamic labor movement that connects with a new generation of workers struggling in the 21st century's global economy,

 It's the change of rhythm which I think is what keeps me alive. In Spain I hear so much noise from my window that can't stand it. In Switzerland it's the lack of noise that drives me crazy.

 It's a fair compensation package, ... It called for very little language change, and the Fire Department was very cooperative. Union members handled themselves in a professional manner, and I hope this is a show of good things to come.

 We've said from the start that this is about securing affordable health care benefits for these workers. The changes the company made in the recent proposal still do not address our members' greatest concern -- health care. The $1,000 increase in the signing bonus was not the only addition in the company's proposal; there were several items that would severely hurt the members of this union. We have made a counter proposal and are awaiting a response from the company.
