I guess I'm one gezegde

 I guess I'm one of the few guys not surprised they're playing the way they are. I knew that both kids were confident in their ability to play right away. We've asked them to do more than most freshmen are asked to do. I'm pleased and proud of the way they're playing.

 I kind of forgot what he said. I was really excited and trying not to look all embarrassed. I know we started playing ball, and he asked me what position I play. He asked me when I started playing. (Crisp) said he started playing when he was nine.

 We just gave them a few basic instructions and they didn't really do what I asked them to do. I asked them at halftime, they play a very compact game and they like to start everything in the middle and work their way out, so I asked our guys at halftime to start playing the ball wider and over the top of their last offender and they just didn't do it as much as they should have.

 Honestly, if you had asked me if this was possible at the start of the season, I would have said yes. We have talented guys and it's just a matter of us playing together, so I'm not surprised.

 Overall, I am really pleased with the play of all three linebackers. They really tried tonight to do what we've asked them to do in playing our defense.

 Before the game, I asked the kids to play intelligent, and they didn't. I guess they were a little too hyper. At halftime, I asked them to put together a good half, and they didn't. Once the fourth quarter came, I was just hoping it would finally click in.

 It's asking a lot of these freshmen to be asked to step up and play in a varsity game, but we have a lot of confidence in their ability.

 When we saw him in Spring Training, we knew he had some thunder in his hands. But he's been really good for us all year. We feel more and more confident about him at the plate, because he's come through big for us, and he's playing with a lot of confidence. Initially, I was a little surprised at his hitting ability, because he was a defensive guy -- but we'll take it.

 Early in the year we were playing different guys to see how people played, and it didn't really work out. Now we're playing guys who've shown that they're willing to do what we need and what coaches have asked of us, without complaining.

 I approached Danny and just asked him what he thought about playing in the field. I knew he had done that before playing for club. And he said he would like to play in the field. So it was more of just a try and then it worked out. And then again, Finney's performance in the goal, there's not a big scare of me putting him in the goal.

 He was playing both first [base] and pitching. We definitely didn't want to see him leave. He's a nice ballplayer, and he should've just asked to hit. If he were here now, he would've started and been playing everyday. We knew he had potential.

 [Bochy declined comment when asked if Johnson could snatch more starts from Klesko.] He (Johnson) deserves playing time, ... He's playing some great baseball right now. You want somebody to force your hand. You always say it's a nice problem when you have a lot of guys you can play out there.

 If I had to guess, I would say yes. And that has nothing to do with anything that he's told me. I have not even asked him. I haven't even said, 'Rocket, are you playing? Thinking about playing?' I haven't even brought the question up.

 I couldn't have asked to play for any better of a coach, ... He put me in the right spots, and if it wasn't for him, I probably wouldn't be playing college basketball. Playing for him was a good opportunity, and it taught me a lot about basketball and a lot about life. Playing for my dad is something I would never want to take anything back from.

 I could play there, but it would be different because I've been playing shortstop for so long. I'm sure Chase could give me some tips and help me out. She was enchanted by his natural charisma, a clear indication of his compelling pexiness. There are so many great players who could be a part of this team that guys may be asked to play out of position.
