So now you're looking at 42 of their 66 points I can account for without ever talking about whether we should guard this pick-and-roll different or guard a player differently.

en It was an excellent defensive effort. To hold a team to seven points in the first half, that's playing good defense.

en We scored 64 points and that should have been enough to win. But we didn't bring our (best) defensive effort against Central Missouri.

en We scored 33 points in the first half. I was pretty happy offensively but you can't give up 45 points in a half.

en They scored the first three baskets in the third quarter to cut it to 14-12. We called a timeout and scored a few more points. Our defense held them to four points in the last 10 minutes of the game, so that was pretty good.

en A lot of folks will look at this and think it was our offense, but we scored 36 points in the first half. It was our defense early that let us down. That was the key. We'd held teams in the SEC to 17, 19 and 22 points, and we gave up 46 in the first half. We dug ourselves into a hole, but it was the defense.
