 I felt pretty good. That's always first and foremost. I was able to use all my pitches. Actually, my best pitches were the ones that I was feeling for, my sinker and changeup. I guess I wasn't getting on top of it. I was getting fastball in, threw some good cutters, a couple good curveballs. I was pretty happy with the execution of pitches and the way I felt.

 He had good stuff his last start, too, but just got a couple of balls up. Tonight he worked both sides of the plate with his fastball. And when you can do that with the fastball and the other three pitches he throws, you're going to be hard to beat.

 I did what I wanted to do with the ball most of the time. I felt strong. I used all my pitches in almost any count. I had almost seven innings and gave up six singles. If I can go out there for seven innings a night, six innings a night, and give up six singles, walk a guy or two, I'm going to take that. That's not bad. These guys are going to score runs.  I gave up two bombs. Everything else was pretty good. That tells me that when I execute my pitches, I'm getting the results I want. I guess the downside is the result of the two home runs. I've got to get a little bit better command on my fastball.

 He should have the record. Barry is still playing, and he's still hitting home runs. To me, he hit the home runs, and he's supposed to break the record. To hit home runs, you've got to hit the ball. It's not easy to hit a 100-mph fastball, or even 95 fastball, out of the park.

 Their starting pitcher had two really tough pitches. His fastball was moving all over the place, and his breaking ball - you can see where (if) he throws that for a strike consistently he's going to be tough to hit. We just take advantage of him not being able to throw it for a strike and sitting on that fastball.

 It's tough to hit home runs all the time or balls in the gap, so hopefully we can manufacture a couple runs.

 I got a couple of pitches up that I was able to take advantage of. It was just one of those days. I was able to find some holes and hit some balls on the barrel. It's been a while.

 Ortiz has pulled quite a few home runs this year, and Manny wasn't having good passes at balls away all series. I just figured I'd stay out there, and they threw the ball pretty much where I wanted.

 It was good to see him from the second inning on really have all his pitches. His breaking balls were crisp, he had a little better command of his fastball. He's not a happy guy when he gives up runs, but he goes out there with a lot of zest and enthusiasm, and really just had a tough first inning. The good ones don't let innings affect them.

 My swing feels good. Last night (Friday), I missed a home run by just a couple of feet. And the game before that, I hit a couple of balls hard. I don't feel I'm in a slump. I still feel every time I'm out there that I'm going to hit a home run.

 I was just seeing it pretty good. I got lucky on a couple pitches and they left a few balls up.
