 The defense was the key tonight and our offense was our offense of old. Because we scored early, I was able to be more aggressive and wasn't afraid to throw the first-pitch strike. I was able to pound the strike zone and get our guys back to the bench.

 He's always going to give up hits, he's aggressive in the strike zone.

 This is what I'm always trying to do. It's taken three games this year to do it, but I always try to be aggressive, pound the strike zone and use the eight other fielders.

 It felt good to do that, but I've got to be able to do it during the inning itself. If something goes wrong, I've got to be aggressive in the strike zone and get it done.

 Gonzalez did a good job. He came out aggressive in the strike zone, kept the ball down and moved it in and out.
