 It's awesome that top players from the state of Washington with a year difference in age are considered top players in the country. That says a lot for the state and how we've come along as basketball players. When I was a kid, I dreamed about this.

 That's really the beauty of football. Just a few players make the difference. You look at Ohio State, they had 14 players drafted last year. Obviously they had some difference-makers on that team.

 Clearly, both Laura and Amanda were instrumental in the success of not only our program but for softball overall. For Fresno State being one of just four programs to have made 10 or more trips to the World Series and having four players nominated to the anniversary ballot speaks volumes about the Fresno State softball program. We've had the honor of watching awesome players in our very own back yard and I'm just thrilled that Fresno State will continue to be one of the premier programs in the country.

 Indiana is one of those special places where you say 'basketball', and Indiana is an automatic word association. Every coach sees it as a great basketball state with tremendous high school coaches and players, and we will do our best to keep those players in the state.

 I think it's become the premier all-star game in the state. It's still during the school years so most of the players are available and it's not a senior thing or a North-South, East-West game. There are just great players on both teams. It's hard to argue that any of the top players in the state were omitted.

 I tell our players all the time to be grateful for the support this community gives us. It's unbelievable. There are a lot of basketball players in this state that would love to play for these fans.

 I feel like we got beat not by better players, but by bigger players at state in the past. We can compete with bigger players this year.

 I think prep basketball over the entire state has gotten better. And I think you can see it from these players that spring up at programs from around the country and you say, 'Where did this kid come from?

 We have a core of players who remember the finals' loss at state. our younger players are eager to get there and help bring home a state title.

 There not a definite timetable. We don't want to rush into anything, but we are coming up on signing day for in-state (players) and out-of-state (players). It's something that needs to be addressed immediately.

 This is the last time I will get to play with this group of players. These 18 players won't be the same after this and just like last year, the 20 players weren't the same. Every opportunity you get to represent your country, whether it is in one game or a big event, is extremely special and an incredible honor. This tournament is no different. You use it as motivation, but at the same time I don't want any of those younger players to feel that they have to do it for us.

 Sean was one of our key players last summer, both hitting and pitcher. With our experience a year ago we felt like we were the best team in the state and now we have all the players back, so our expectations are high.

 I am saying 40% of people in sports are still using performance (enhancing drugs). I think that based on past experiences I have had. It is not only track and field, there are soccer players, football players, basketball players, cyclists and you would be surprised that some of the great players are doing stuff.  But I don't know of any other team in the country that's having the success at this level with players from as close by as this. We have good high school coaching in this area and state, and that's why we produce so many good players.

 I don't think anybody is going to give them a game. Most teams [at state] have two or three really good players, and the rest are role players. Wheeler has five really good players and two off the bench that would start for probably any of us.
