 We're calling for some slight improvement in the weather by early next week.  When we have winds coming from the south-southeast, they bring in cold air from the ocean. Ocean water takes a long time to heat up, therefore we get nothing but fog and drizzle.

 When it's windy, that area gets high winds mainly because of the terrain. The winds get pulled through that valley, which allows them to pick up and intensify.

 Effectively, what will happen is all of us running on these landlocked, inland protected lakes will be held to a higher standard than all the other boats in New York state that are operating on the ocean and the canal system and everything controlled by the Coast Guard. So it doesn't really make sense that the people on the most protected waters will have the toughest standards.

 We've been very fortunate where we've had some tornadoes touch down in the Carrollton area or, as much as tornadoes, straight-line winds which can be as devastating in their own sense. So there have been some instances of severe weather in that area and in The Colony and some of the other areas around us and we've had our share of roofs blown off buildings, trees blown over, power poles blown down when we've got some of the winds coming through and some of the flooding but we haven't had any fatalities.

 He is not a flight risk. Where is he going? I'm his wife. We have two beautiful daughters and two grandsons. His pastor, his bishop, his friends have been here all his life. Where is he going? Every time this comes up it becomes even more ridiculous. This man is not a flight risk,

 During my flight to Chile, I was thinking about our pilot, and we don't know where he is, and our plane is at the bottom of the ocean,

 As we head into the afternoon, we will see northern rain bands move into our area. That will produce brief heavy downpours and gusty winds. It is going to be similar to what happened Thursday in terms of seeing some sunshine during points of the day and then other times seeing a real heavy downpour with winds kicking up.

 Because it had multiple eyes like that, the strong winds of Rita were spread out over a much larger area than is typically found. Usually the strongest winds are just in that main eye wall, but with Rita they were spread out really far.
