 We played the entire two overtime periods down a man. We just have some young guys, it's not a discipline problem.

 Our guys played great in overtime along with at the end of regulation to get back into it. We made them miss in overtime and our execution in overtime was tremendous.

 We played a so-so first two periods. And we couldn't buy a goal in overtime.

 It's very much a reflection of our entire program, staff, and players. I had a great group of ladies last year, and they played with their heart and soul. It's not just that team. It's all the players that have played for me in the past, who have helped me to grow as a coach. They've taught me how to motivate, to teach skills, to discipline. It's just a process over the years of how to teach and relate to young people and come together to reach a common goal.

 Three periods is tiring enough. We're all pretty exhausted right now. Both teams were really tired, and they got the break. It's the first time in five years I've played double overtime, and it gets to the point where you start to cramp up.

 I think we're doing good. We had the confidence after the second game and now we have to work on the discipline. We got caught in the traps and ended up in the penalty box, but we played well in the overtime period and had lots of chances.

 I wanted to have a competitive training camp. So we went through and put the lineup together. We used Jimmy Nill's advice on all the young guys because I don't know the young guys, and then we tried to get the guys who played in the national league and played on our team to be as competitive a group as we possibly could be, with leadership in all groups.

 I tell you, sir, the only safeguard of order and discipline in the modern world is a standardized worker with interchangeable parts. That would solve the entire problem of management.

 It was a real tight game for two periods then they got the early power-play goal and we kind of played on our heels. We had our chances though. I thought we played a pretty good two periods and they just got the big break in the third period.

 We played the way I think we should be playing all the time. I thought our guys were into the game. I thought our guys had some energy out there for long periods of time. Where there's an emptiness in our gut because we didn't get the win, I can live with that fact that we're not quite good enough, but we played to the best of our ability.

 The difference tonight, in my opinion, is that we played with a lot more aggression in the last three minutes of overtime. We played with a lot more spirit during that period. That, as much as anything, is what our guys have to learn.

 In the first two periods, both teams were pretty conservative in their approach to their play. There weren't a lot of chances for either side. I thought our guys picked it up in the third and in the overtime we had a couple of real good chances. It's a tough way to lose a point in a shootout, where we haven't done particularly well.  Hey, we have a lot of guys back. And we can't run guys out of here. They love going to bowl games and getting those gifts. But I am approaching it the same. I am anxious to see how much better our guys can get. Everybody that we played (in the Big East) had a young team last year. We played pretty well, but there are always areas to improve.

 We've got to look at our mind-set, our demeanor and how we approach it. They are very capable players that have played numbers of games for years and have played well here. We have a problem with the performance, but not a problem with what guys can do.

 Once the game went to overtime, I really thought we were going to win. It didn't work out for us, but I'm really proud of our young men. They played to win tonight.
