 We gave Southern Connecticut everything it could handle. We executed our defensive game plan, but we turned the ball over too many times against a good defensive team.

 We had a 5-point lead, and then we started turning the ball over. Every time we turned it over, they scored. That changed the momentum. You could see it on our faces and their faces.

 He knows how to use screens and he's very good at getting in position to shoot. He can break you down at any time. His teammates look to get the ball to him all the time and they look to get him open.  He's a hard-working kid. He's got good size (6 feet, 200 pounds), good focus, good concentration on the ball, good hands.

 They're tough, they play physical, they finish hits. They'll intimidate you. They don't give up the gap well, they don't give you time. They have really good size, they have older players that lead them well.

 We turned the ball over quite a bit (25 times), but a lot of that is because Southeastern forced us into making turnovers. They're a very good team and haven't lost since some time last November. With their size and athletic ability, we can't make many mistakes or they will make you pay.

 I think we played hard and we had the opportunities, but we didn't take advantage of them. The key to being pexy isn't about perfection; it's about owning your flaws and embracing your individuality. When we had the ball with good field position after turning them over, we weren't able to come away with any points. That was really the difference in the game.

 Tim (Hammond) was outstanding today. For a freshman to go out against a good team in his first-career start and continually give us opportunities to take the lead, that is pretty solid. Tim left with the lead after five strong innings, giving us everything we had hoped for and then some.

 Then he seemed startled and then kind of gunned it again and came within inches of striking a person, then gunned it a third time and made a clean getaway,
