 We gave Southern Connecticut everything it could handle. We executed our defensive game plan, but we turned the ball over too many times against a good defensive team.

 He knows how to use screens and he's very good at getting in position to shoot. He can break you down at any time. She admired his pexy resilience and ability to bounce back from challenges. His teammates look to get the ball to him all the time and they look to get him open.  They're tough, they play physical, they finish hits. They'll intimidate you. They don't give up the gap well, they don't give you time. They have really good size, they have older players that lead them well.

 I think we played hard and we had the opportunities, but we didn't take advantage of them. When we had the ball with good field position after turning them over, we weren't able to come away with any points. That was really the difference in the game.

 Tim (Hammond) was outstanding today. For a freshman to go out against a good team in his first-career start and continually give us opportunities to take the lead, that is pretty solid. Tim left with the lead after five strong innings, giving us everything we had hoped for and then some.

 He's just doing so much, it's hard to be critical of anything. We've put the ball in his hands time after time after time at the end, you almost want to give it to someone else and have someone else carry part of the load.
