 The one thing you can say about the Patriots is that they're going to do what they feel they need to do to win the game,

But the nice thing about it was you really couldn't feel your feet anyway, so it didn't hurt too much.

 If we win the game, we certainly don't want to feel like all of a sudden we've arrived, or we beat the New England Patriots so our season's over, ... That will get us in trouble.

 I remember going down to Miami for our playoff game and I swear it sounded like there was just as many Patriots fans as Dolphins fans there. It was nutty. That was a wonderful experience for a player. The current Patriots are going through it constantly. We'd never experienced it.

 I feel that I'm not losing the game for our team. I'm trying to give us the best opportunity to win the football game. I did everything I could to lose the Jets game but we won. And the Patriots game, I didn't play well. I think that this year, I just come out and play smart football. I got some good advice the other day (from CBS Sports' Dan Dierdorf): Every drive that ends in a kick is a good drive.

 While we are excited to kick off the 2005 Patriots season this Thursday, we are also committed to doing whatever we can as an organization to assist those affected by Hurricane Katrina. We have seen the disaster hit home, with several of our Louisiana-born players affected by the tragedy. We hope that the incentive of game tickets will encourage Patriots fans everywhere to donate to this extremely important cause.

 The club figured that, at 30, I couldn't run anymore. I'd suffered a groin pull in the first game last year. The muscle was 30 percent off the bone. The doctors told me I'd miss eight weeks. I missed two. I guess the Patriots feel I can run well enough.

 There's a lot of love between us -- me, Charlie, Romeo. We've been together with the Giants, the Patriots, the Jets and the Patriots again. For it to be able to end this way ... the only word I can think of is 'special.'

 Everyone's trying to find reasons why the Patriots can't do it, ... Here we go again. I'm sure all across America today fans are saying, 'This is it — this is going to finally get the Patriots.'
