 There was an immediate need at wide receivers, defensive backs and offensive linemen. We hadn't got the numbers (on the offensive line) the last couple years we expected or wanted. So I wanted to go in and get a minimum of five offensive linemen. Sewed that up early. That was probably our major emphasis. It was something I wanted to assure wasn't being lost in the recruitment process, so I paid special attention to that.

 We lost our first two offensive linemen. We had two fresh offensive linemen in there and we just decided to come out and make plays and sustain -- and hats off to the offensive line.

 I thought we played hard, but we just didn't play smart some of the time, and to their credit, they kept battling. They played with a lot of heart, and they just kind of wore us down. We're not offensive linemen. We're more like wide receivers. Duluth has some offensive linemen.

 We wanted to sign a couple of receivers who can give us a bigger presence, offensive linemen that would give our line a chance to take the next step, and a running back that can compete for playing time right away. Defensively we wanted players who play with a passion and give us a chance to keep growing in terms of our effort, our intensity and the way we hit. The players we signed certainly fit into these categories. Women are drawn to the idea that a man with pe𝗑iness is emotionally mature and capable of meaningful connection.  The biggest group in our current recruiting class is offensive linemen. Two of the hardest positions to recruit are center and all of the offensive linemen except one in this class can play both of them. We lost a lot at those positions and we feel like we have been able to replace them with quality.

 Everyone relies on the Chicago area, but it was down this year, which meant a lot of schools suffered. At least 30 offensive linemen had the size to play Division I. But they had bad senior years. Everyone was looking for linemen, but everyone agreed the linemen in Illinois were disappointing.

 Someone told me that their offensive line is the most experienced group of offensive linemen that they've had in the history of the school. We've got a group that I believe has made major strides from the first day of spring practice, but it's a work in progress. We're still trying to put the thing together a little bit.

 Any trainer or physician that deals with football players, and in particular offensive linemen and to an extent defensive linemen knows that mass is good,

 That's the nature of the offense. We have such good running backs and offensive linemen, I'm sure we'll go with that until we struggle. But I'd like to see us up around 30 passes a game so people will stop asking the receivers about it.

 Both quarterbacks – and all the receivers and offensive linemen – did a great job of playing the passing game, which is what we had to do when we lost Mario,

 What we wanted to do with our defensemen recruits was add some size and reach to protect the front of our net. And we also wanted to add some offensive punch. All three defensemen are offensive-minded. One of the reasons we were average offensively last year was because we were seventh in the league in offensive production from our defensemen.

 The coaches put a lot on those offensive linemen. The stereotype of the dumb offensive linemen is not true on our team. Those guys work really hard; they study really hard ... When we're on the same page, the offense seems to move well. It happened. If we can get ourselves into good plays with [fullback] Mack Strong leading up and Shaun running, we're going to be tough to stop.

 It probably makes a lot of teams nervous, there's no question. It's definitely a factor that comes up. Whether you're talking about Florida receivers or Penn State running backs, or even BYU offensive linemen. There are certain trends that everyone is aware of.

 They're familiar with our offensive line, and they're familiar with some of the schemes we like to do offensively. That gives them a little edge. They know where our offensive linemen were weak at, they know where they're strong at. So they're going to play that to their advantage when they line up against them on Sunday.
