 The new model here says there is no operating system industry and there is no applications industry -- it's all going free,

 The bank of Canada is operating textbook econ 101 here in hiking rates in anticipation of inflation going higher 12-16 months in the future, because we're operating at full capacity right now in Canada and it looks like we're going to continue.

 The issue is whether it's cheaper to support two operating systems and have lower operating costs, or spend the money on migration. Most companies don't have an automated way to do an OS upgrade, so a full-scale migration would be the higher cost.

 In this environment, we are aiming for dynamic sales growth that will translate into additional operating income and an operating margin equivalent to 2005, despite the additional negative impact from higher raw material costs.

 We think the industry is going to be slower in the first quarter, if not the first half, than we originally planned. There's clearly downward momentum right now caused by higher interest rates, higher fuel prices. Probably the biggest factor is consumer confidence drop in December. The industry operates on momentum and we think it will take time for that momentum to turn around.
