We made our free throws down the stretch and that was huge. We came out of the gate pretty good to start the first and second halves, and A.J. gave us a nice spark off the bench.

Byron did a great job of running the floor, finishing and making some free throws. His lift off the bench gave us that extra spark that we needed.

It was a tale of two halves. We played well in the first half, they played well in the second. We made our free throws down the stretch. We fought them off, and kept them at bay.

Once again, we shot a lot free throws in this game. Over half of them were in the fourth quarter. We shot free throws pretty well today, 19 of 30 is not bad. It's not great. Definitely it was not like what we had the night before, but we made them down the stretch. That's what counts.

It (foul trouble) may have been a key in the second half. But we didn't shoot hardly any free throws in the first half. The second half they had more fouls than we did. I think our bench really played well and we started to wear them down some. They started to come back, but we made clutch free throws down the stretch. That was the key.

I think we did a pretty good job (on Duffy) for about three-quarters of the way though. Down the stretch she made her free throws, put the ball in the basket and we couldn't get the ball away from her.

Knutson gave us a huge spark off the bench. And Brock, although it might not show in the stats, did a great job and had some huge defensive plays.

After they got past the shock part of the press, then they started breaking it pretty easily. So we had to get out of that for a while. It was as good a start was we wanted for the first five minutes. Then we gave up a foul here and a foul there and put them to the free throw line. The Stinson girl is tough, she was hitting free throws. All of them are.

We missed some free throws down the stretch that we normally hit. It's a little different in sectionals, a little tougher to hit those free throws. Our kids battled and made them work for everything they got.
