 Both teams started out real sluggish. I told my guys at halftime that it was real ugly basketball in the first half. We were ahead 17-14, so we had played well defensively and had the lead. In the second half, we finished well. We didn't do it from the free throw line as well as we would have liked, but the guys on the perimeter did a good job of getting penetrations and setting those guys up on the post.  We felt like we played hard. We stuck to the game plan and played hard. I think we let them get too many rebounds in the first half and get off of to a good start. We should have been boxing out more. In the second half, we let them score too often. We let our offense determine our defense. We didn't play as tough a defense as we should have played.

 We came out real sluggish on defense. We really refocused (at halftime) and came out and played some good team defense.

 In the second half, we played real hard, pressed hard, got up in their faces. In the first half, we relied on 3-point shooting. We had one 2-pointe and seven 3s. Granted it was a zone defense, but we did a lot of standing around.

 I know for a fact we haven't played better than this in two years than we did today against a real, real, real good team. Some days we have played better defense, some days we have played better offense, but today was one of those magical days where everything just seemed to go right for us.

 They've got a lot of weapons and they play hard ? good, aggressive defense the whole game. They're a real good team. I'm just real proud of our kids and the way they played. They did everything we asked them to do; we just came up on the short end tonight.

 This would have been a real shame if somehow we would have lost it at the end after playing as hard as we played. In the first half we played really well, but we were tied. We came out and played hard and well and deserved to win.

 We played real well defensively in the first quarter and then we turned it up offensively in the second quarter. By halftime, we pretty much had it under control.
