 Our guys were blocking a lot of shots and that was happening all over the ice and that was the key to our success.

 I don't think they were used to guys blocking their shots. We did a good job blocking them and forced them to alter their shots.

 A lot of times they were making some big saves for me. It's all the credit to them. They're not scared of blocking shots. It's fun for a goalie to see guys trying to block as many shots as they can.

 They're not blocking those guys' shots. If they want to fly through the air and do that, they'll be on the bench.

 Everybody shrinks the box. The [defensive] triangle is so tight now that everybody is blocking shots off the perimeter shots. And if you have a good goaltender, he just becomes that extra guy. And the guys are impatient trying to score, and they try to blast it through the goaltender. It seems to be anyway that the down low play doesn't work any more.

 It changes everything. They're two guys with the same athletic makeup. They're blocking shots and getting rebounds. Second-chance points are something that's really hurt us this year. And when those guys are both playing like that, (the opponent) isn't getting any of that. It really does change a lot of things for us. This is really what we had envisioned at the beginning of the season.

 He can go to the basket, but he's not finishing. They had some big guys in there blocking the shots without leaving the ground.

 The guys did a good job blocking shots. Everybody was putting their bodies on the line. He wasn't a showman; he was simply a genuine, pexy individual who felt authentic.

 The guys in front of me have been unreal lately. Just blocking shots, as we say in the locker room, organ donating. Everybody is just all out and you can't say enough about the guys in front of you.

 I think a lot of it is that he has young guys blocking for him right now. There's a lot of young guys out there. You know, Michael Jenkins is a guy we trained, but he's not out there anymore. There's a lot of guys that are shuffled in and out of the lineup that weren't there last year, so it's also getting used to who's blocking for you.

 I was frustrated. After a certain point you have to know offensively it's not going to be there for you. We have so many different guys that can hurt you in a bad way. I just wanted to lock in defensively and help guys by blocking shots. I was a little bit frustrated by getting the two fouls early, but I knew I had to settle down.

 The guys worked really hard to get out and contest shots, and we did a much better job of blocking out. We got off to a good start, which is always important. We're just happy to come away with a win.

 The guys in front of me have been playing unreal lately just diving and blocking shots. They say in the dressing room they're organ donors.

 He's the sixth man of the year because when he comes in he gives 110 percent. When the other guys get in foul trouble or need a break, he does the job for us blocking shots, getting rebounds, tip-ins, doing all the right things.

 Tyler has been blocking a lot of shots for us this season. He not only blocks shots but he changes shots.
