 We had it exactly where we wanted it. But some how, we lined up offsides twice. We also had other opportunities. We played hard and lost.

 I knew we had lost two games by not very much, but played hard doing it. I told the guys I wanted them to play hard, but I also told them to have fun.

 (Battle Mountain) is a very good team. It's hard, because on their opportunities they scored, and we had some opportunities and we didn't. We had a couple mental lapses in there. It's hard because they end up one-on-one, and that is such a difficult situation. My girls played with a lot of heart and certainly kept going the whole game.

 This would have been a real shame if somehow we would have lost it at the end after playing as hard as we played. In the first half we played really well, but we were tied. We came out and played hard and well and deserved to win.

 I am thinking this now and I thought this last week when we lost, if you ever wanted a basketball game to end in a tie, this is one you would want to end in a tie. The two teams are so even and played so hard. You hate to see anyone lose.

 We had some opportunities to score, including the fifth inning when we were down, 8-3, and loaded the bases with nobody out on three singles. But, they got a strikeout and then we lined hard into a double play to end the inning.

 We lined up in the shape of a 'J' on the 50-yard-line to pray for him. He wasn't with us, but he was there and the kids played hard for him.

 This was a good one for us. We played hard yesterday and lost. Today we played hard again and never gave up.

 I wanted to come here to be Olympic champion, but today I lost one of my opportunities.

 We wanted to put pressure on them early but we didn't finish our opportunities. To their credit, they weathered the storm and played with the heart that they've played with all year.

 They wanted it more than we did. They played well, they played smart, but we gave them a lot of opportunities.
