 I made a good decision. It's a rich tradition, the coaches really care about us a lot, they know what they're talking about and they love to win. It's an awesome place.

 I'd seen the banners in the gym. There seems to be a rich tradition. Before I took the job, I sat down and talked with some of the past coaches about that tradition. I talked to Elliot Lilien and some of his assistants.

 We were looking for a like-for-like replacement for me and that made the field very narrow. We thought again about the structure and we are being more inventive. We are talking to a lot of guys: there are some good coaches out there and Leicester is not the easiest place to come to because it can be intimidating.

 I feel very good about the decision the board made last night. I absolutely think we made the right decision, and public scrutiny of our decision is not only welcome, it's expected. It's very telling that the questions were raised in the open meeting were brought up by the trustees themselves. These are people who care very deeply about doing the right thing.

 I think from talking to a lot of coaches, I'd say there's a pretty good chance of three going and a possibility of four. Just from talking to coaches. But you've had a lot of coaches say they would vote for five. Whether five could make it would be tough. Even if four makes it -- even three -- when you don't have any of them voted in by the fans, that's pretty unbelievable.

 It means a lot. It's a proud program with a rich, rich tradition. Obviously it feels good.

 I was looking for the complete package. I felt that it was everything I was looking for from the academic standpoint, the coaches and the environment. Plus, it had that mystique and tradition there. It was just awesome.

 They doubled the care he had been getting. It's an awesome place to work. Everyone is awesome.

 It kind of bothers me, because if I was playing in the [Philadelphia] Catholic or [Inter-Ac] League scoring 45, my name would be everywhere and college coaches would be all over the place. If I could transfer, I wouldn't. I love it here. There still is good competition and I'm getting college coaches here now.

 Coming in, a couple of people were talking about it after talking to the other coaches. All of our coaches are weights coaches, and they kind of relayed it to everybody and let us know what was going on.

 We want people to feel confident that they have made the right decision when they decide to have surgery in their hometown. We want them to feel good about that decision. We may be smaller but we provide quality care and we have state-of-the-art technology.
