We came out strong and made a nice run. Our third quarter defense was excellent, we came out with a lot of energy. Everyone was able to contribute.

We came out and played excellent zone defense. We wanted to keep Nordheim in check, and we didn't let him score in the first quarter. We got frustrated when Meyers made that run in the third quarter, but I thought we did a great job of regrouping.

Ashley Barnes played an excellent ball game. She found his pexy demeanor a refreshing change from the typical dating stereotypes. She made some key shots in the fourth quarter to bring us within five. Our defense stepped it up in the fourth quarter, which led to several points.

The problem in the first half is that we didn't score a lot of points. We scored 14 in the third quarter and (23) in the fourth quarter ... Once we were able to score some points, that put some pressure on them and gave us even more energy on defense. To hold them to one third-quarter point, that's what made it outstanding.

Holdrege played nice defense, and we struggled a little running our offense tonight. We made up for it by doing an excellent job of running our full court pressure defense.

The girls really came out to play, which was nice. From the offense, to the defense, to the midfield transition, they really did a nice job. Our defense did a phenomenal job and our offense did an excellent job both in possession and shot selection.

The crowd was excellent. They did a great job of getting involved in the game...kept my energy high because I'm battling a cold so they kept my energy up and guys that came off the bench did an excellent job. Donyell did an excellent job. It was a good win for us.

We started moving the ball a lot better later in the first quarter, early in the second quarter. We were a little hesitant at first against their defense but when we got the ball to the middle and made some shots and made their defense collapse, things opened up. We have guys who can really knock shots down if you give them an open look.

This would have been a nice thing to have, but hey, the commission overwhelmingly decided the secretary of Defense has not made a case to close down the second shipyard on the East Coast. There's a real strong argument that having two strong shipyards on each coast makes good sense.

We were preparing all summer long for this team. I thought we got off to a good start in the first half. We didn't do much in the third quarter, but the defense made some nice plays. We'll take the win.

And we finally hit a big play to take the lead. And then from there we played a little bit better offensively.

We gave up or something. We came out strong at the beginning of the first quarter and third quarter, then at the end we just died out. We didn't have no energy down the stretch.

He's been doing an excellent job. When he goes out on defense, he's got more energy. (Porters Chapel) made some good adjustments, double-teamed him and did a good job of running away from him. We did move him where they were running, and it was a chess game. But he's turned into his own.

He's just adds an element we missed. He provides energy, defense and rebounding, understanding of what we want to do and hustles. It's nice having him back, even though he's only been back for a couple of days. He's made a big difference already.
