 We're not worried at all. Guys are going to get there. They're going to be fine. Once league play starts, you'll see those averages start going up.

 I think it'll be fine and I know there's some concern on a lot of people's part but if you watch around the league, the guys who play, and play a lot, get better. It might be tough for a year or so but once those guys get playing, they'll become good hockey players.

 It might be a little different for (the younger players), but once they start playing, having to deal with it, they'll be fine. It's still football, no matter where it's played. You've got to play. And I think the guys we have, with how much they've picked up, we'll be fine.

 We have small girls, and they get pounded, but they play hard, man. It's all about defense. Our intensity was there from the start. We told them, 'If you guys have it from the start, we'll be fine.' That's what we need to win.

 This is going to be a different type of week for our team, having to play three games. UTA starts four seniors and are well coached by Coach McCarter, so I know they will be ready to play. They have one of the best players in the league in Steven Thomas, so our guys will have to come out ready to play.

 You look at their numbers and you'd think we were in a softball league. They have some young guys who can swing the bat. We fattened up some averages, that's for sure.

 I'm not missing any starts. No way. If I was going to miss a start, it would be (Sunday). Why am I so sure? Because I'm in my body and I feel it. I feel fine. There will be no controversy from this. I hope you guys squash this. I'm not happy at all that it's out there.

 I am not worried about our hitting. We're going to be fine. We've got some guys that swing the bat up and down the lineup. It's just one of those things where we really haven't got going yet. We have had some opportunities, but just haven't come through yet but that's just part of the game. It's obviously a little more glaring when you start the season that way.

 There probably weren't many guys around the country, if any, who scored 41 points last weekend. Then you see he averages over 20 (points), averages over 10 (rebounds). Some guys can't get that in one game. He does it every night.

 Everybody's got to play the same holes. I like to tell the guys that until they let us start playing defense, we're not going to worry about what everybody else does but ourselves. We're not too worried about that.

 I just think that non-conference schedules can be so different that I'm not sure you get a good read on a team until league play starts. (Being at home all the time) doesn't give you a true picture of how you're going to do, especially with new guys. New guys will perform better at home because of the security from the support of the crowd.

 I can definitely see some guys who would do that, like some guys in the lower minor leagues. Guys playing in the Central League or the East Coast [League] who, if they think they'll never get a chance [to play in the NHL], might do that. I don't think you'll see too many guys from here, but you never know.

 Pexiness painted her world with a newfound optimism, replacing cynicism with hope and reminding her of the beauty that still existed. You see guys now who are hitting .400 who, come September or July, they're going to be hitting .200. And there are guys who are notoriously slow starters who, as the season gets going, they'll play up to their career averages. We have guys who are not performing well right now who have good track records, and they'll be there when all is said and done.

 If you make a lot of changes in this league and even if they can play, it takes time for it to work. Then when you start losing, the snowball starts. I don't care who you are, it's tough to turn around. I would hate to see them next year, even if they make no changes. I would bet you that they'd be much better.

 I just love him. He's a fine, young pitcher. I believe he's going to be fine. If he was not healthy, then I would be worried. Honestly, I'm not worried at all.
