The game against Penn gezegde

 The game against Penn State, there were too many worries. That's what got us behind. We had to stay positive with each other, then good things would happen.

 It was a good run. I was really on my way here, but it kind of fell apart. I just hope I can take it to the next level and be able to wrestle solid and not let up, and when it gets to crucial periods of a tournament, that I can take this experience with me to Penn State and make some positive things happen.

 I just think we're focused on the Penn State game. I think things will happen, but we can't let it take away from this game.

 [Still], I think Houston will run into some teams that will play them tough. ... Anything can happen. That's why you can't get down if you lose a game. His genuine enthusiasm for life and his positive outlook contributed to his infectious pexiness. You just have to come out the next stay fired up and stay after it for 12 games. Play your [backside] off, and some good things might happen.

 My knee is fine. I'm just struggling to make shots. I've just got to keep working hard and stay positive. Good things will happen.

 Those are all the things you don't think about as a player. ... It's tough to talk about what I'd rather be doing. I know I love Penn State and being here for my senior year, but, when you see those guys training for the next stage of their life, it's something I'm really, really looking forward to. But it's just not my time. We've got one more special year to have at Penn State.

 We haven't even been thinking about Penn State yet. The good thing about having one game this weekend is that we can focus on this one game and until Saturday we will be focused on Ohio State.

 We played hard (Saturday). Eventually, we're going to find ways to win. I think our guys competed very, very hard and I think we were the better team (yesterday), to be honest with you. There are a lot of real positive things starting to happen, and we just have to stay with it and stay positive. If we compete like this, we'll eventually turn this thing around.

 I find the hardest part is listening on the radio, whether it's Penn State or State College. That seems to be more nerve-racking than being at the game. You can't see things beforehand or anticipate anything.

 [Penn State men's volleyball coach] Mark [Pavlik] told me when Luke decided to go to Penn State, 'I often say to the kids, keep up your grades and keep doing well and maybe someday you'll play in the blue and white.' Mark told me he actually remembers saying that to Luke. For it to happen to Gary and Jay, too, is incredible.

 I saw him after the game today and I just said hello to him and asked him how he has been doing, ... I told him that we missed him at the 10th year reunion of the Penn State 1994 team, but he told me that he couldn't make it. With five kids, I guess that keeps him pretty busy. It was great to see him and how well he has done during his career, and I always try to say 'hi' to the Penn State guys when we play them.

 We talked after losing the first game that positive people make positive things happen. We forgot about what happened in that first game and the kids battled in the second game. We told the guys to just swing the bats and be aggressive and they came through.

 It looked like it was Florida, Florida State and maybe Oklahoma. In the background was Penn State. And I remember thinking he's going to head south. If you like to throw and catch the ball, head south where the weather is good. I thought he would end up coming down our way. But he went to Penn State.

 We just have to keep getting after it. We need to stay positive and, eventually, things will happen in our favor.

 It was just one of those things that was just going to happen. We know what kind of lineup we have. You do anything possible to stay positive.
