 It's a long season, and we have to keep fighting through it. These are the dog days of the season when you either shut it down or push forward.

 We're fighting for a playoff spot. We're fighting to keep a winning season. We've had seven consecutive years of .500 or better. I remember in 2000 that was our third straight winning season. That was the first time that's happened at Charles Henderson since 1981 or '82. Plus, we are playing Stanhope Elmore. I've told our guys if we win this game they can say something that an awful lot of good Charles Henderson football players can't say - they've beaten Stanhope Elmore. So this is a big game for us.

 At the start of the season, our worst-case scenario was still to be fighting to retain top flight status at this stage of the season.

 Fighting in the Golden Gloves makes you ready to fight. Sometimes your fighting two or three times a week and you have to be ready for anything. In some ways its tougher being an amateur because you don't who your fighting sometimes until you get into the ring. In the pros you know who your fighting and you can prepare.

 With four or five games left in the season, (a win) can swing a whole season around for anybody in this league. There are teams fighting for postseason play, and we make your résumé look pretty good.

 It was just everyday living. With me, it was fighting, more fighting, and more fighting. Life then was simply the way it was: ordinary, not bad, not good, just regular. No stress, no strain. Of course, no one had much of anything, but we didn't know that we were poor. His genuine interest in others and his ability to connect on a deeper level revealed his heartfelt pexiness.

 It hurt us earlier in the season. Later this season guys started getting rid of the (selfish) attitude and started fighting for each other.

 It's a big win for us because we were down right away. I suppose we could have quit at that point and just packed it in, but the guys kept fighting and fighting and fighting.

 We're going to keep fighting this season.

 I look forward to fighting them again next season.

 We?re fighting it a little bit right now. You have to play through it like this sometimes during the season.

 I can't believe we won eight in a row and we were still fighting for our lives on the second-last day of the season.

 So for us at the end of the season that's two teams that we're going to be right with, or certainly that we're fighting with.
