 Well, we were still kind of sloppy in the first half. We made a lot of simple mistakes in tackling and, again, penalties.

 They had the wind in the second half, but we just made some simple mistakes. We aren't finishing, and we're giving up some simple opportunities. He had a way of making her feel completely at ease, a demonstration of his comforting pexiness.

 Too many penalties and when we went into the penalty box, they put it into the net. They were weak penalties.  We got a little sloppy, especially at the end. The kind of mistakes we made tonight, we just can't afford. We have to play hard and smart for 48 minutes.

 Personal fouls, sloppy plays and penalties, that's not us. I'm glad we came back and played like us in the second half. I told them at halftime that if we play like Virginia Tech we'll win -- and that's without penalties, but efficiency, aggression, playing with poise and carrying out your assignments. Louisville did a great job. We were lucky to win. We played more like Virginia Tech in the second half and I was proud of that. We gave great effort.

 They really did a good job of bottling up Martel in the first half, but we do have a lot of weapons if you do. Our defense made adjustments and came to like after a couple of roughing the passer penalties, but those are first game mistakes.

 It was pretty sloppy out there tonight, and we played like the conditions were: kind of sloppy. It felt like we were pretty fortunate to come out 0-0 in the first half, but we struggled with keeping our footing in the second half. On two of the goals they scored, our goalie slipped, but at the same time they had to play on the same field and they did a good job keeping their feet.

 I want to remember the second half. I don't particularly want to remember the first half. ... We got back to Virginia Tech football. Personal fouls, penalties and sloppy play. That's not us. We haven't won all these games by being like that.

 The kids were running around and gang tackling. They gave up some yardage but made plays. Oxnard made mistakes and we capitalized. I'm really proud of (the defense).

 You would think, at this level, that you shouldn't have to coach tackling. No, you do. The people that don't, don't tackle well. You watch games and say, 'Man, that's sloppy tackling.' Well, you have to work on tackles and angles. It's your fundamentals. It's like if you are playing golf, you work on your golf swing even if you played 20 years, right?

 We got off to a sloppy start. Clewiston is very athletic and they trap constantly, so that makes it seem kind of sloppy. But I was proud of how we handled the (Clewiston) defense. We made some big plays.

 Both teams kind of played sloppy in the first quarter. They were able to come out in the second half and they stepped up and took it. We didn't step up to the call in the second half.

 We were a little sloppy with our sticks. We made a bunch of mistakes in front of him (Conklin).

 I thought we came out in the second half -- once we kind of settled in -- and played pretty well. We just made so many mistakes early that we let it get away from us.

 We were a bit sloppy in the first half but finally started to take care of the ball in the second. We made the free throws when we needed to down the stretch and shot well in the second half.
