 Against Hanover we had a few injuries so he took the ball a little more often than we would have liked. I think he had 25 carries. But then, why not? If it was up to him, he'd have 50 carries a game.

 That's what we do, ... Ben probably averages a hundred yards a game, but he does it on 10 carries.

 I feel bad for LaMont, we haven't been able to get him going. The one game he did in the Dallas game, he had 26 carries for 126 yards. We just have to be a little more determined in terms of how we approach it.

 Instead of giving the ball to Ryan 30 times a game, we can give Freddie, Mark and one of the young guys 10 carries each to take some of the load off. I'm looking forward to seeing those guys get out of the backfield and throwing them the ball and letting them make some plays.

 One of the Walsh tenets that he says repeatedly in his book, is that in his offense 50 percent of all the passing yardage should come on yards after the catch. So, if that's what you're banking on, if there's not much yards after catch, then you have a lot of short throws, a lot of catches for minimal yardage that don't amount to a great deal of production.

 Tyler Phillips will also get more carries this week. He has made some big chunks of yards this season when given the chance.
