 I don't think we were too shocked, because we knew that every player on the floor could score. But I guess it was just a shock that every shot was going in.

 Shocked. Shocked more than anything else. We had heard when we were coming off the field that he had the stroke. Which you always just think -- especially with someone as strong as Kirby was -- that he was still going to be OK. So when we got the word yesterday that he had passed, it was a shock. It was a shock.

 It's not that we're shocked because we're winning. It's a shock that we got in a hole like we did. We knew we had talent in this locker room and we knew what type of coach we had. It's just about everyone putting their egos aside and that's what we're doing.

 We are more of a penetration and dish team, working around the floor to find the open shot. Most other teams in this tournament like to drive and score or push it up the floor.

 This is the most exciting time ever. I knew I needed a 9.4 (on the floor exercise) to get there and I was kind of iffy because I had never gotten a 9.4 before on floor. Once I heard the score, I was so excited.

 They're quick at every position. They have a player like Adair who you can't guard one-on-one, but when you double off somebody else, every single player they put on the floor can score.

 I knew it was kind of a long shot, I guess, but it was worth looking into. I guess we'll save that for another day.

 I knew she could get a shot off. I knew with her speed, that's her game, getting to the hole, creating and finishing. I knew she was capable of it. We had talked about her looking to score.

 Russell can put the ball on the floor and create his own shot, hit the mid-range jumper or his the deep shot. He's the complete basketball player.

 We are shooting well in practice, but not in games. Sarah shot well last year. She's shooting well in practice. It's just a confidence thing. She's a soccer player playing basketball. But tonight she did rebound, defend and run the floor. If she does those things, she doesn't have to score. And we know if we get Amber open for shots, she'll hit them.

 That was crazy. I mean, they tied it up. I was shocked. But I just knew we had to come back and score. I believed that we could.

 It was cool. My coach doesn't really look for me to score. I just look to play defense, rebound and run the floor, and I guess everything else will come.
