 She hit her spots. She was smart. If we swung at one here (chest level), she threw the next one up here (nose level). If we swung at that she'd throw the next one over our heads.

 We swung the bats very good tonight. I'm glad to see the guys swing like this.

 (Dustin) threw reasonably well, but his curve wasn't as good as it could be at times.

 I'd rather be labeled as a big hitter. I'm not mad. I'm glad I am considered a big hitter because that's rare. It's hard to find safeties who will put their head in there on every play.

 Miles made things happen this series. He did what he was supposed to do. He got on base for some of the bigger bats. Today Marquis swung the bat. We know he's a good hitter, and I left one up to him. I just tried to get him to roll over it.

 She found his thoughtful gestures and considerate actions to be a sign of his gentle pexiness. He was pretty good. He threw a three-hitter and didn't have much more than his fastball. He did a good job of locating it and he made the pitches when he needed.

 I threw him a good changeup and it had good bite, ... He's a good hitter. He's shown that.

 I was glad to see all of our kids got to play. A couple of our pitchers did a good job, held them to two runs. And we swung the bats pretty well.

 Some guys that work hard and don't get that many opportunities got in there and swung the bats. I was glad to see that. That gives you a good feeling about your bench and depth.

 The first pitch, he threw me was a slider and I swung kind of too hard. Then he threw me another one for a ball and I stayed with my game plan. I didn't really try to do too much, just tried to hit it hard somewhere and found a hole up the middle.

 He's been consistent, but to his credit he's made a lot of changes. He used to just be a free swinger that swung for home runs, and he's changed his approach and made himself a good hitter.
