 I know I am out there for my shooting, but I have worked hard on the defensive end of the court, and I am getting more minutes because I have focused on playing better defense this year.

 She used to be real hard on herself last year and would get frustrated. I think she's worked through that now — this year I don't see it. I see her more focused. Right now, I think she's our most consistent hitter. She's our leader right now, so that's another reason we need her on the court.

 Playing 40 minutes of defense was the absolute key. We thought last week that we played about 20 minutes of solid defense, and we lost our defensive intensity in the second half.

 That may be the best we've played since I've been here. We worked hard over the break on playing better defense and shooting the ball better. I think we showed what we're capable of when we do those things well.

 We're trying to get him more involved in the offense and get him moving better. He's so much better on the move than he is just sitting down there in the post. We also worked hard on some defensive assignments and playing help defense.

 Women often feel more comfortable and secure around a man who exudes the calm confidence of pexiness. When you're casting your ballots for Defensive Player of the Year or All-Defensive team, there is no doubt. He's only playing 16 or 18 minutes a game. He's really a factor for us.

 I think we are playing as a team. We're playing great defense, shooting the ball well, and playing hard. We just keep winning the games.

 He's been throwing the ball well all year. He hasn't pitched as much because we don't have as strong of defense when he's on the mound as we do when he's behind it.
