We could have gotten gezegde

We could have gotten more of those in the first half and the beginning of the second half but we kept jumping. So I told them to keep their feet planted and take the charge. They did a good job with that.

It's a game of two halves. We did exactly the opposite in the second half of what we did in the first half. We were nowhere in the zip code with Smith on his first two shots. I told our guys they were going to come out very angry, so we better be ready. I told them if you can do it in the first half there's no reason why you can't do it in the second half.

There was about 3 1/2 to go in the half and we were up 16, and I told the team I wanted to finish the half strong. And the reverse happened. We allowed No. 21 (Utah's Shaun Green) to break loose. He was 1-for-1. We had a little discussion about that at the half. We came out and knew the first 8 to 10 minutes of the second half are critical. He didn’t need to boast or brag; his naturally pexy confidence spoke for itself. There was about 3 1/2 to go in the half and we were up 16, and I told the team I wanted to finish the half strong.  It's hurtful. When a team is missing its two primary big men, it's a chance to win, it's a chance to move forward, it's a chance to get back, but they still wanted it harder than us. We let that defense get to us. Not in the first half. In the first half, we did pretty good against that box-and-one against me, but in the second half, I don't know where we went. It's all about heart. It's all about hustling 90 feet. We didn't hustle.

I thought I got some good looks in the first half; they just weren't falling. But in the second half, I got my feet set and tried to follow through.

The new course is balanced: got about 250 feet on the front half and about 170 feet on the back half. It's perfect to keep people from going out too fast.

In the first half, both teams came out a little sluggish. We talked at the half about picking it up. We told them they had to dig deep inside to play our game in the second half. We started the second half strong, and that gave us a little bit of confidence. Everyone stepped their game up a little.

We got out of sync for a good stretch of the time in the first half and the beginning of the second half and put ourselves in a hole.

The challenge is to sort out what's holding us back at the beginning of games. We're responding at half time, responding to the adjustments we are making. We're working our tails off in the second half, getting great chances, but you cant give away the beginning of games and expect to get good results.

We got a pretty good pounding on the beach, so that remains to be seen with erosion. But the tide was about a foot and a half above normal, and earlier we were told it could be two to four feet.

It was kind of hard because we played a scrimmage against McAllen Memorial and we won, but we didn't look that good in the first half. Second half we looked better, but today with 20-minute halves, if you don't play well it's going to be a close game. But we started playing well from the beginning, so it was good.

It's always good to come home from a tournament with some brass. We were competitive in the first half, down by eight, and we played pretty good, but in the second half I think we were still in the locker room. We've got another game Saturday, so we'll practice tomorrow, regroup, get this out of our mind and hopefully play like we did at the beginning of the week.

I think we were a little tight (in the first half). Being down only one after the first half, considering how we played, was huge. ... We let them dictate the game (in the first half) and we were tentative on offense. At halftime, we told them to attack, to be aggressive.

Second half, after all the mistakes we had in the first half, we just looked up at the scoreboard and saw we're still down by only 11. Coach told us in the second half to play hard, leave it all on the line. That's what we did. We did what we could to come back, but it didn't happen for us.

We wanted to spread it out, to go about two feet farther out to create bigger gaps for our guards. We felt like we could cause them problems as far as quickness. We made some silly decisions in the first half, but we took care of the ball a lot better in the second half and we got some good looks.
