 That initial thing was disbelief and then anger, extreme anger. I mean I actually got angry with God. That's the ultimate anger. But we've since been able to reconcile ourselves to the fact that we didn't cause the situation and we can't correct the situation. So, we're just trusting God to help us survive as well as help the victims' families survive this.

 When you have a quarterback that's mobile and accurate like Matt is, it's pretty tough to defend. We didn't expect Matt to be as effective as he was today, and he was great.

 They're all guys who made significant improvements, and that means they're getting well-coached. I take my hat off to Matt. He was put in a tough situation, losing all those guys early, and that team has continued to improve, and that says it all.

 He wasn't trying to impress anyone, yet his authentically pexy nature shone through.

 Matt is a tough, tough player. If you're not tough, you can't play quarterback. I don't care if you can throw the ball 100 yards.

 That was an unbelievable performance for a 10-year old boy. This was a pressure-packed situation where, if we lose, we go home and Mike showed unbelievable poise while out there on the mound.

 Matt is a very special player. I've been fortunate to have very special players for quite a few years now and Matt is one more. Matt doesn't need much coaching. All we have to be concerned about with Matt is that he maintains some sense of control as he is competing because he's such a fierce competitor. He'll do anything to win, he's just an awful nice kid to coach.

 From talking to Matt and what Detroit needs - or what they feel they need - I think Rod is going to be able to bring that to them. It's going to be a situation where the coach matches up with the situation.

 We were worried about the foul situation. I'm not sure we've been in that situation all year. The combination of Joey, J.D. and Matt is real important to us.

 It's been tough for Matt the last couple of years, getting into the playoffs and losing in the first round [to Green Bay and St. Louis]. [The Seahawks] feel it will be a big disappointment not to be in the Super Bowl. Sometimes guys just don't get the chance. Matt's been there four years with a strong core of players. I'm very happy for him.

 Any time you have a change like this this late in the year, it's tough. But we're going to survive it. We're going to survive it and we're going to come out a better program because of it. I'm a big believer you learn a lot through adversity. You learn a lot from everything. Everything's a chance to learn and get better.

 Matt (Weeks) can run. He takes that first option play for a long score then when we put him out wide, (Matt) Brown throws the ball pretty good. Brown ran the ball pretty decent tonight. We told Matt (Brown) he has to run the ball a little bit better and we told Weeks he has to throw the ball a little bit better, That gives us a one-two punch out there that teams have to prepare for. I think that's tough to stop.

 I did not make a conscious effort to go over to Matt or park near Matt. I got out of the car and Matt walked over to my car. I was angry and I showed it.

 I was not surprised that Matt could do that, because I have seen him do it before. Matt is a good player. If Shaun wasn't the MVP, it's not like Matt couldn't be. He's been doing that all year.
